Thought it would be helpful to post a comparison of the results next to the visualization morph Dr. Steinbacher did during our consultation. In about 3 months, I’ll be going back for a true comparison but it looks pretty close for now.
I’m still concerned about the dent/dimple on the right side of my chin. It feels like there’s a little fat there that didn’t get taken out. Otherwise, I’m very happy with the results!

is the dent due to swelling or just soft tissue sagging? It take one year to fully heal.
thank you so much for sharing. I'm considering dr. steinbacher for this exact surgery. I was also concerned about the step on the jawline. Hopefully he could help you with the dent on the right side. keep us posted if you have new updates. all the best!
How is your dent coming along? Has it resolved or did you have to get some sort of revision or treatment to address that?
Hi there! It seems to have evened out a bit. Someone did it could take up to a year to heal and I'm at the 6 month mark. I'm hoping it gets better!
So happy to hear! I’ve also read other reviews that noted their dent/step off resolved once the swelling and healing was complete. Keep us updated on your outcome! Happy healing
Mine has done the exact same thing but both sides, one side worse than the other. Unfortunately my results aren't as nice as yours.
Who was your surgeon? And did your surgeon tell you that those dents will go away with time? Did he offer a revision if it doesn't correct itself?
It's a different surgeon to the OP. My surgery was a year ago, he said the bone would fill in but I still have the dents and the scar has contracted into the dead space below my lip making it uncomfortable. The surgeon is brushing me off. I'm barely eating because while for someone else it might just be a tight uncomfortable lip, for me this is the latest in a series of mouth and jaw problems, it's just been so much hassle to mash food, or cut up and get tiny pieces in and chew, and then have stomach pain because without the start of the digestion process it ends up going straight through, it's just easier and less painful not to eat. I can't not get this fixed.
Oh no…! I’m so sorry. I hope you can get it resolved soon and have a normal functioning mouth again.
Hello Rabidteddy! I was wondering if you could update us on the dent issue. I had my genioplasty 3 months ago and the indents / step offs are there, more noticeable on the right side. Have yours continued to improve? Thanx!

Photo of my jawline concerns

Better look at what I mentioned in the update above. The fat from the transfer is basically gone and now I have a dent in my jawline.

Oh wow! I think you still look great. That dent will probably fill in once your bone heals. You got done exactly what I'm hoping for - sliding genioplasty plus some lipo/jawline work to get a better profile. Did you like your doctor and experience overall?

I feel like this is my final result! I’m very happy with my new, balanced profile and the fact that I don’t get a double chin when I look down anymore. My only concern is that the fat from the transfer to my chin has receded significantly and now there’s a small dent in my jawline. I’m hoping to get this fixed somehow.
I still feel some tightness in my neck when I look up, as well as some limited range of motion in my mouth but it’s negligible. I’m smiling and talking like normal.
