Looking for a Plastic Surgeon? Look No Further. TRUST ME.

WORTH IT
I had wanted a chin augmentation for a long time. I finally had the funds and time to do it, and that’s when I started my research. I am your typical Type A personality when it comes to just about anything, especially plastic surgery and especially on my face! I did LOADS of research on different surgeons, pros/cons, side effects, prices, etc. I had consultations with surgeons ranging from friend referrals, celebrity surgeons, top rated surgeons, etc etc. None came even close to surpassing Dr. Rady Rahban. He is professional, takes pride in his work, is a perfectionist (like me), gives you more information than you thought you needed (which I loved) and very straight forward (don’t be caught off guard by this.. he just knows what he’s talking about and doesn’t sugar coat things). He put me at ease and made me feel confident in him right away. He answered ALL my questions and took as much time with me as was needed (where other surgeons didn’t during their consultations). He is genuine and the best part is that he actually CARES. I didn’t see this until the day of my surgery. The morning of, I was obviously nervous and he was so caring, gentle and helped me feel confident and excited. After the surgery, he PERSONALLY called me the next day to see how I was doing. A few weeks after surgery, I was concerned about the scar under my chin- it was painful, red, itchy and bumpy. I sent Rahban’s nurse a photo, and Dr. Rahban called me right away to schedule an appt with him the next day because he wanted to look at it in person. He said it’s natural for scars to get worse before they get better in the healing process (something I wasn’t sure was actually true at the time), but here I am 10 months later with absolutely ZERO scarring!! (Note: Even though I’m writing this review 10 months after my surgery, I looked like this just 6 months after). I did experience the common pain, swelling, redness that comes with any surgery, but I am so BEYOND satisfied with my chin augmentation. Looking at my profile, the chin surgery gave me a more chiseled, defined jawline, made my lips look bigger and my nose look smaller because everything is just more proportionate. Dr. Rahban and his staff are all AMAZING. Trust me when I say this (as the Type A perfectionist that I am), if you’re looking for a plastic surgeon, look no further!! You look great! I had the same procedure done 6 weeks ago and appear to still have a lot of fat under my chin. Did you have lipo too?
Yes! I completely forgot to mention that. I was very specific with Dr Rahban about what I wanted the end result to look like, and he showed me (and I felt) what a chin with and without far looked and felt like. So I decided to do the lipo as well. However, Dr Rahban told me that fat under the chin is an area that my specific body holds fat in (amongst other areas, but some people can gain a bit of weight and hold it somewhere else on their body). Honestly, I thought that he was going to remove ALL the fat under my chin, but he told me that wouldn’t have given me the look I’m going for - that takes exercise and healthy eating.. a healthy lifestyle. And that will help my face (and other body parts, obviously) be more defined. I’ve lost about 10 pounds since I was able to start working out at the 6 month mark, and I will say it definitely helped. Have you been able to start working out yet? Maybe you still have some swelling that is making look like fat? I hope my reply helps! Don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any other questions. Happy to help someone else on this journey! :)
Thanks so much for replying! I hold a lot of fat under my chin genetically too, I'm not overweight by any means but still have quite a bit under my chin.. my surgeon suggested to do the chin augmentation first and then see if I still feel I have too much fat under my chin (i liked this advice because i didn't want to have a botched surgery and I like modest changes -like you I am a perfectionist and really research what i'm getting into haha). My surgeon said I can start working out if I want I just haven't got back into it quite yet as I'm still a bit nervous. I think I will next week; however, even when I was 110 pounds at 5 6' I still had lots of fat there :( I think in the future I will do lipo, I'm just praying it's mostly swelling right now. Funny enough, I feel as though my jaw was tighter and there was less fat a couple weeks ago and now it appears to be getting worse as if the swelling helped the fat hold closer to my chin rather than loose like before. Did you experience this ever?
Oh I absolutely felt like my chin and jaw where super tight, and it did loosen as it healed, but it didn’t reveal more fat. It did take about 3 full months for the swelling to totally decrease. But I feel as though you should definitely get the lipo, especially if that’s where you genetically hold fat like me. I’m also 5’6” and consider myself lean, and I just always hated how my chin and jaw looked. Dr Rahban told me that adding a chin implant will make my face more symmetrical, but the angle under the chin will not change unless the fat is removed in order to allow the skin to lift up. I hope you don’t have to pay for two surgeries though!
I just saw my surgeon an hour ago and he said everything looks great yay! Yeah, I think I'm going to get the lipo in maybe 6 months to make sure all the swelling is gone because your before picture looks basically the same as me and your after looks amazing! I was worried with lipo that the fat would come back if I was ever in a calorie surplus. Thanks for your help!
