ID Hospital Ruined my Life
ID hospital ruined my life. I saw 'Let me in' program and thought ID hospital was one of the best.
I went for a consult and the consultant and doctor pushed me as there was something wrong with my face. I got fooled and proceeded the surgery. I was told there is only 2 weeks of down time and there will be no side effect guaranteed.
Told me I need V line of chin and they will trim the jawline. Told me its simple because they are so good at this kind of surgery and that korea is the best for plastic surgery.
My result is beyond horrible. I got paralyzed. Never returned. The hospital told me it will come back but never did. I saw so many maxillofacial, dentist, craniologist, plastic surgeon, pain management, neurologist. The neurologist concluded I have permanent motor nerve damage that made to be paralyzed. I can't chew, talk, nor speak as before. I have intense pain all around my face and its not going away with the strongest prescribed pain medication.
The surgeon of ID hospital cut my bone way too much exposing my sensory nerve and this gives me so much pain. I was told that will be very natural look but my jaw and chin was cut very deeply and very asymmetrical. My face looks 30 years older than before. My face was just chopped off.
Leaving saggy, sunken hollow face. My teeth started to get all crooked after the surgery. The jaw muscle was gone and everything was and still is contracting very hard. I have endless pain in my teeth that makes me cry every night.
My happy life ended.
I saw so many doctors who can fix my problems. I used tons of money on ID hospital and I became like this. Spent more money trying to find a doctor who can fix me. Flew east to west and saw the most reputable doctors and professors. They all gave me one conclusion. They all shook their heads and questioned who and why someone did this kind of surgery to me.
All the doctors, I mean these doctors are maxillofacial and craniologist surgeons who fix patients who got their jaw bone off from car accidents. One of the reputable maxillofacial doctor told me he never saw this badly damaged face and nerve by plastic surgery. There was no single doctor who was confident to fix my case. Every doctors, I mean some of them are the most reputable doctors from USA and they are top university professors, and all told me the damage is way severe to do the reconstruction and they were hesitant about the result.
Of course I contacted the ID hospital several times, first I was told I will be fine. then later when things didn't get better, I cried and complained to the consultant and she laughed and told me You are not that bad. I wanted to talk to the surgeon who did this to me and was told he is always busy doing surgery. Later on, they just ignored me.
Time passed, my life got totally upside down. I was active and happy. I enjoyed life and enjoyed smiling. I lost my smile, lost my job, lost my life.

This is horrible! I am so sorry you are going through this.. arent you able to report them for what they did to you?
I didn't know the law of Korea. You must know the law is so much different than the US. There is no one to help you once you become the victim. There is no law to help or protect the victims, even if you win after years of suing with lawyer, the money you can get is so little. I've met someone who did law suit against ID hospital and told me ID hospital came to the court with 3-4 lawyers. In Korea there is no law to take away dr's license no matter what. ID hospital know this so they don't care about the victims at all.
you girls need to make instagram account and warn all other girls.my friend doing this with comfortzone in istanbul.you have many women who will support you in this way.

this is very sad story and I’m very sorry that you had such a terrible experience. I was in your situation too but was lucky enough to end up with another surgeon. I watched almost all Let Me In episodes and like you, ID was a fav. I came to Seoul to visit 2 PS’s – ID and REGEN. There was such a gap between even consultations. Regen’s Dr.Oh said right away that can’t cut too much of my bone as there was a possibility to damage my nerves but he promised to cut as much as it’d be possible to get a maximum result and that impressed me the most. Wish you could find good hands from the very beginning…
