Forever grateful

WORTH IT$5,001
I don’t know exactly how long it’s been now, but occasionally I’ll take pictures of my side profile and just admire how much better I look. Not in a vein way... but more in “awe” of how great my doctor did not only with my chin but with the jawline contouring as well.

LOOKING GREAT
Fghtdgh234December 18, 2019
I think it’s been about 5 months now. I’m still so grateful for what Dr Harbison has done for me. I don’t cringe when I see my side profile anymore and that is something that’s bothered me my whole life. Although we shouldn’t be so hard on ourselves, it is surely a great feeling to completely eliminate an insecurity!

You look so beautiful. Did your chin used to point out more when you smile before?

Me too, even when I talk! It's so annoying and I'm wondering if this surgery would make it look better..

Yes! My chin was SO long and pointy when I smiled. That was honestly the worst part about it. Although this surgery has helped tremendously, it still somewhat protrudes when I smile. It's just sooo much less now so I am less insecure about it.

Amazing! I have a witch chin and I've always hated it. Your results are so encouraging - I've always heard scary things about this procedure. Thank you for sharing. You look beautiful!
Best,
Tara

You are beautiful either way, but I see how happy you are post op! What do they do, exactly? I always wondered what this procedure was like. It looks as though the incision was quite small.

The incision was pretty small. Eventually I don't think it'll even be noticeable. So after he made the incision he "burred" down my chin bone with a special tool and also removed any excess tissue before closing it back up!

I am interested in this. Can you tell what procedure it’s called, how much it cost, and where and who you saw please?
November 18, 2019
I always refer to it as a "chin reduction" but I think the technical term may be "genioplasty". The procedure was around $2500 and it was performed by Dr Harbison at Omaha Face in Omaha, Nebraska.

How long was your healing process? How much pain were you in?
January 28, 2020
I've had quite a few procedures done and I'd have to say this one surprisingly hurt the least. It was only a few weeks before it felt normal again but the healing process continues over the next several months while tissues shrink and soften.

So nice to get responses on here for once! When did you have the fat graft to your lips and did it last/ happy with results? I've heard it's not worth it because for a lot of people it completely goes away over time. And so you have no metal in your chin now right?

I got the fat graft to my lips about a year ago now. It has lasted! I love the results. I noticed they have shrank a little since I've lost weight though. So weird. He took a strip of fat from my abdomen as opposed to sucking it out and injecting it, which holds way better. And no, no metal. He just shaved the bone and trimmed some tissue :)
