Finally got rid of the hereditary "witch chin" yesterday with liposuction along my jawline. He also removed some fat I had behind the muscle under my chin. I can't believe what a great job he did. It is only day 2 of recovery and I can already see a huge difference! I am incredibly happy.

Your results are amazing! The doctor seems to have achieved keeping your chin elegant and refined. I had a chin reduction done as well which turned out well but I feel like it looks thicker and more bulbous. Can you please post a recent profile pic?

Thank you! Keeps getting better, too. I do feel at certain angles mine looks that way as well. But hope that's just scar tissue that will continue to soften. I posted another update :)

Thank you! I do have a scar under my chin but it has softened dramatically. I think I may eventually do a few laser treatments to flatten it more.

I am VERY curious how people have responded to how you look. Is it super obvious to people close to you but people who haven't seen you in a while think you've just lost weight or something? And so you can pass for not having had work done? I've wanted what you got done for years but am nervous about owning it with people but it seems worth it. Also how is the scar? Also would need to decide whether to risk incision in the bottom of teeth or the scar under the chin. You look gorgeous!

I don't think this is something people have really noticed besides who I have told. The scar isn't too bad but I've been doing microneedling treatments on it and it's softened significantly. I would highly recommend going to someone who does the incision under the chin. From what I've read there's pretty mixed results going the oral route. Good luck!

Swollen

I should have specified before that the procedure for my chin involved shaving the bone and also removing soft tissue. Today I am still very swollen. My chin looks bigger than it originally was but I am staying hopeful because I saw what it looked like before the swelling got too bad so I know I will be very happy once it’s all gone. Here is what it looks like today. I have a ton of bruising which I tried to cover with makeup. Went back to work today. Pain is not too bad at all.

My chin is still huge but I’m barely feeling any pain at this point. It’s weird because this is the most invasive surgery I’ve had yet it is probably the least painful. I’m trying so hard to be patient but I know it will take months for the swelling to go away based off the other reviews I’ve read. I can’t wait for my chin to look the way it did on day #2 before swelling got this bad. That picture has been my motivation to be patient! Lol. I don’t wear my chin strap to work but I put it on right when I get home and wear it to bed as well. The strap gives me a headache and makes me almost light headed but I push through it because I know it is crucial during recovery.
