The Best Chin Lipo Doctor You Can Find

WORTH IT
If you're looking to have chin lipo done, there's really no point in going to anyone other than Dr. Mehr. He's the most experienced doctor you'll find in all of LA for this procedure, and clients fly to him from all over the country for a reason.
I was a more "complex" case, because I actually didn't have much fat in my chin to begin with. It's harder to remove fat when there's not much to remove, so the doctor needs to be very experienced and precise. Dr. Mehr did an amazing job and was able to remove almost 100cc of fat. I knew my results wouldn't be dramatic like some of the reviews here, BUT I wanted a confidence boost and the subtle change has made a huge difference for me! My face looks slimmer and more elegant now. I used to not like pulling my hair back because I didn't like how round my face looked, but now that I have a slim chin, I love how any hairstyle looks on me.
For me, the best part was that I was able to get the surgery done without telling almost anyone (except my partner and close family). No one could really tell I got anything done, but people have commented on how I just "look really good" for some reason lol. At the time of recovery, I had a corporate job that allowed me to work from home and hide behind my computer, so I didn't have to take any time off and my co-workers never saw me with my compression garment on.
I was incredibly nervous/anxious/scared of the actual surgery. I knew I wouldn't feel any pain but there was still a big fear of "what if". Dr. Mehr and his team assured me over and over again that it was a quick, easy procedure and that I wouldn't feel anything. It also helped that I met another patient that happened to be in the office during my consultation, and she told me how easy it was for her. But I was still a ball of nerves on surgery day! I opted not to be put to sleep because I knew it would be just as scary for me either way lol. Thankfully, just like everyone told me, the surgery was easy peasy. I just kinda laid there on the table for a while with classical music playing, and a paper over my face so I couldn't see what was happening. As soon as they started injecting numbing into the area, I couldn't feel any pain. They REALLY numbed it out. Interestingly, I could feel pressure and could tell that things were happening, but it didn't hurt at all. The doctor was right! It was over quickly. I could've driven myself home but I chose to have my partner drive me because I wanted to be pampered :P
First two days of recovery were uncomfortable around incision but not unbearable. Pain meds were completely unnecessary. I may have taken a tylenol here and there but that was all. After the first couple days (and especially after the first shower), the recovery was really chill and the only annoying part was having to constantly wear the compression garment. Doc recommends wearing it for 8 weeks (with the first few weeks being most important). That meant I could hardly go out in public and was constantly wearing a hoodie and face mask when I did, looking like a weirdo. That was pretty tough. Not gonna lie, 8 weeks felt like an eternity but I was sooooo happy when I got to the end of it. It was all worth it.
Highly recommend purchasing TWO of their compression garments upfront, so you can wash them and switch them out. My first one eventually got so worn out that the velcro wasn't really working anymore. I had to buy a second one and pay extra for the fees.
I had a weird thing happen where my compression garment actually caused me to snore really loudly at night. I never snored before. Dr. Mehr was very surprised because he's never had a patient with that problem before, in fact it's usually the opposite where the garment helps reduce snoring. I don't know why... everyone's anatomy is a little different. I was a weird case. That was actually one of the hardest parts for my recovery because I was keeping my partner up at night and he was constantly waking me up. We eventually decided to sleep in separate rooms until the 8 weeks were over. Thankfully after I stopped wearing the garment at night, the snoring went away.
I'm about 10 months post-op now and super super happy with my results. I still have some residual lumpy texture that still seems to be fading away, but it's hardly noticeable. The scar is basically completely gone. I always forget that I had anything done. In the grand scheme of things, this procedure was a minor investment (half the cost of my lasik procedure!) for a major improvement. If you've been wanting a slimmer chin, I absolutely recommend going for it and going with Dr. Mehr!!

Great result, have you done any face tightening treatment like facetite with chip lipo?
ooo I haven't tried!
Would you mind telling me about the cost of your procedure? Your post indicates $3500. Is this accurate? I was quoted $6500 and my chin looks similar to yours. This is a straightforward chin lipo, not revision.
yes, but mine was a year ago and I've noticed that prices across the industry have gone up a lot since then :/ I'm getting another surgery done on another part of my body, and the price is astronomical compared to what I would've paid just a year ago
Oh wow. That's good to know. Makes me feel better, because I felt like I was being taken with that price. Thanks so much for your reply and your very thorough review! It was extremely helpful. Good luck with your next procedure!
