Extended Submental Liposuction!

Three months out.
WORTH IT$2,250
I don’t have much to add. Everything looks good and I’m very happy with my results. I have no tightness or pain. My mouth, lips, jaw, and neck all move normally. All the sensation is back, though the area directly under my chin does feel a bit...different. It’s hard to explain. It’s not numb at all, but it’s not as sensitive as other areas. A good way to describe it might be as follows: if someone tickled that area lightly with a feather, I wouldn’t notice right away. This does not bother me at all. I almost never touch that area unless I’m washing my face.
If you’re thinking of having this done, my advice is to follow your doctor’s directions exactly. I wore my compression garment for nearly 24 hours a day for the first month and I really think that prevented a lot of swelling and helped my results “stick.” I’d also recommended investing in a vibrating massager. I followed doctor’s orders and massages the lipo area for 45 minutes a day for a couple months. This eliminates the tightness I was feeling during the first month of healing.
Another tip: take a LOT of before pictures. Not gonna lie - there were a few days when I thought, “I can’t even tell a difference!” I’d make myself a before/after collage and BAM! Huge difference! It helped give me a reality check.
Before lipo, I was considering having a chin implant. Having this procedure has boosted my confidence more than I expected. I feel much prettier and feel more comfortable with other people taking photos of me. I am pleased with how I look and am no longer planning to have a chin implant.
I am happy to answer any questions anyone may have if they’re thinking of having submental lipo, or are considering Dr. Friedman!

So happy to have ugly before photos to put side-by-side with my new ones.

You look wonderful and he did a great job. I had my chin done 4/2 and the bruising is so bad it looks like I was strangled, despite taking arnica and using ointment. It will be worth it though and I can only hope to get the kind of results you have.
I used arnica pills and ointment, too - I really don't think it made a difference. I think I just lucked out! I hope your recovery went well and that you are super happy with the results. I'd love to see pics! :)
Wow!!! Awsome results!!! I can't wait for my turn. Dr Friedmans work is so amazing!!! wishing you continued healing.
Do you have any residual tightness or uncomfortable sensations in the neck and chin area?
I have no tightness or discomfort in my neck or chin. There is one small patch of skin that feels a little less sensitive than the rest, but it isn't painful.
Great result! I’m 4 days post and doing well. What type of massager did you use? Thanks!

Day 18, I think?
Everything is going great! The bandage over my incision fell off on day 14. My scar is small and purple. There is a hard lump of scar tissue just underneath it, but there's no visible bump. The scar is tender, but not painful. I tried to lean with my chin on the palm of my hand a few times, and that's really uncomfortable! I've been applying Prosil (given to me by Dr. Friedman's office) to help with the scar healing process. I've been using a vibrating massager to massage the whole liposuction area for 45 minutes each night. I think I still have a bit of swelling that worsens while I have my compression garment off, but I know that will go away. I'm still wearing my compression garment for 18 hours a day. Not fun, but I want the best results!
I'm really glad I took a lot of horrendous before photos so that I have plenty to compare to my new jawline. :)

Wow! what a beautiful job! You don't look like you would even need a chin implant now, as the lipo made your chin look so much more defined!!
Did you continue using the compression garment that the Dr provided or get your own? I got my lipo a month ago and the one the Dr gave me is too big now so I'm looking for an effective new one!
