Day 3

Things are going well I think. The bruising is mostly a yellowing except for a few small bruises here and there, nothing like I have seen online. I don't need the pain medication anymore which is surprising. It does hurt if I try to lean up to kiss my boyfriend so I haven't done that again. Stretching the neck will have to wait.
I have a couple of small lumps of fat still but only noticable to me when I really look. The skin is crepey right now, and the whole area is kind of numb, but I feel like that's because of the disruption of the nerves, so I will wait for that to reside. I've read it can take a while.
My main concern is any loose skin or crepeyness remaining afterward. I have been removing the compression wrap every few hours for a half hour or so to allow for bloodflow and such as per Dr B's instructions, and it's interesting to see the progress, so long as the skin doesn't stay looking like that. I'll update again soon with pictures

Definitely Worth It

I'm turning 40 and always said I would do something for myself when that time came. I take very good care of my skin, but I cant stop gravity and haven't been able to stop volume loss etc. I didnt want botox so I went in with a mini facelift in mind. My jowls have been making me sad every time I look in the mirror for years. All I see is my mom (love you mom!) But I mean, I'm 39.

Anyway, I did a lot of research to choose Dr B, and I'm glad I went with him. Firstly he was straight up about why he didn't think I would be satisfied with a mini facelift, showed me pics, and suggested this as an alternative that would be a fraction of the cost, a fraction of the downtime, and give me much more noticeable results for what I'm working with at 39. Sold.

Everything was incredibly smooth. We consulted just before surgery, and after surgery, and he answered every questions I had, even my random weird ones I came up with after reading too much on the internet. After the surgery before I left he changed the bandages and showed me the initial outcome which, yes, I love it. 10/10.
Seriously, super nice and supportive dr.

Day 0: surgery was around 830 am. I got a prescription for paid meds and just chilled on the sofa. It said take 1-2 every 4 hrs so at 230 when I felt like, meh, nbd, I took one. By 630 my ears were the sorest thing on my body so I took two. Maybe I took them at 600 also. Its only 640, but I feel like the pain is slowly subsiding. Interesting though, my ears. I dont know if its because of the super tight initial bandage after surgery, or if its because of the incisions behind them, or because yes. But no matter, I expected pain obviously. This isn't bad.

I cant open my mouth very far, on account of a tensor bandage being around my head under my chin, so I ate kraft dinner. Least chewing, a few pieces at a time, worked perfectly. Stocked up on sorbet.

I'll make a point of updating this because I know how badly I wanted to know as much as possible going into this, and rightly so. I'll even put some pics up. Bruising so far is pretty much what I expected. We'll see. I bruise easily so... this should be interesting.

Again, Dr B was frigging fantastic all around, and I won't hesitate to go to him and only him in the future should I wish to have anything else done.
Until soon!
