I have a generic predisposition for loose neck skin, when when I'm at a normal weight. I had thermage in 2023 and ultherapy in 2025, but nothing seemed to help. Plus, I am nearly 50, so I felt like the clock was ticking on making a positive change.
I had a consultation with Dr. Farzadmehr (Dr. Mehr) 4 months ago, and he completed my chin and partial neck liposuction surgery about 2 months ago. I wasn't expecting much of a result because of my age, but I also knew I'd be thrilled with even a small improvement. After surgery, I followed all the protocols and wore my garment as much as possible (averaging 22+ hours per day) for 6 weeks. I'm currently at 8.5 weeks post-op, and I still wear the smaller garment every night and for some of the day.
My results are far better than I could've imagined. Not only is the extra fat gone, but the skin is tighter under my chin and nothing is loose anymore. I know it's not forever, but it will remain this way for years and years to come–and it's certainly a huge upgrade to how my skin will age in that area moving forward. DO NOT SKIMP on wearing the garments as much as possible! You'll protect your investment.
