No more double chin!

Trust the process. There will be swelling. I can safely say the fat under my chin is gone. And even now at a month and a half post op there is still a little swelling but I am satisfied with the results even at this stage.

Lumps? Swelling? DONT PANIC!

After a few days I developed a long lump on both sides under my jaw in the shape of the cannula. They were the tunnels created with the cannula during lipo. I know all the doctors say lumps were normal but since I didn’t see anyone else with long ones shaped like mine I slightly panicked. I was googling lumps after lipo and reading all kind of stuff that scared me. But I am happy to report that with massage I see them getting smaller and less visible. I’m only including this in my update for those of you who are new to plastic surgery like I was, and those of you who are chronic worriers like I am. TRUST THE PROCESS! IT WILL GET BETTER. Just be patient, massage, and don’t panic. I can’t wait to see my final result. I’ll keep you guys posted.

Head garment hell.

The first night I got no sleep at all. The past couple nights I constantly wake up and fall back to sleep which has left me exhausted. The head garment was unbearable the first 2 days. Now on day 3 I have kinda gotten used to it. Day 2 was the most painful, I assume because on day 1 I still had anesthetic in me. Today is less painful. Get medication! He said it was standard for patients to use Tylenol butI requested a mild opioid. There is no way I could deal with this if I only had tylenol. I have noticed swelling in the shape of a long tunnel on both sides where he used the canula but I’ve been told this is normal. In 4 days I can begin massaging the area. I look forward to that.
