Chin Lipo

WORTH IT$3,500
I have absolutely hated my chin for a while now. I have tried CoolSculpting on my chin. I tried it twice each time a year apart. I felt like the first time I noticed some results but the second time I think caused maybe a little bit of loose skin. Either way my chin still look terrible. After reading reviews online I decided that liposuction was the way to go. Ended had a much shorter healing time than something like kybella and it yielded better results.
I look through over a dozen different facial plastic surgeons in the Denver and Colorado area. After seeing Dr. Khoury's results, and with the knowledge that he was one of the best facial plastic surgeons in Denver, and his price point was right for what I was looking for. I decided to go with him.
It was a long process to get the initial consultation because he has a several-month waiting list but I was able to get pushed up, and to have my surgery the week before Christmas so that I could have some extended time off for recovery. Everyone at his office is very sweet, very reassuring, the facility is very clean, and professional. Dr. Khoury will be honest about what you need. And he will turn you away if he feels you don't need a particular surgery. Luckily he took on my double chin.
On the day of my surgery he was very kind, and explained all of the medications and detail, and instructed my mother on all of my aftercare instructions. They gave me some prescriptions to fill out prior and I brought them to my appointment. This included the sedative, antibiotic, and pain meds. The sedative was interesting because it made me feel almost drunk, and they wheeled me into surgery, did local anesthetic, and if I remember correctly I think I may have even been talking during the procedure cuz I didn't feel anything. After I was still loopy, and made my mom get me fast food. Ate it just fine, and went home and went to bed. The next morning the anesthetic had worn off, and I just tried to lay low, it wasn't necessarily painful, but it did hurt.
I have been taking a variety of natural supplements to help with my healing. And I would highly recommend the following:
*SPM active by metagenics (inflammation)
* regenemax by xymogen (collagen rebuilder)
* arnica pellets
*arnica cream.
It's been 3 days, and i'm still very swollen but I already notice a change. I can't say enough good things about Dr.Khoury. He even wheeled me to my mom's car!

U look good. I’ve been shopping around for doctors too but I haven’t got a good pricing so far. How much did it cost u with Sr khoury?

$3,500. It was one of the most reasonable prices I could find in Denver with a well experienced surgeon.

Day 5

vintagekitty83
It's been 5 days since my surgery, and I returned to my desk job today. I noticed that I have more swelling and it looks worse then it did at Day 3. I'm kinda curious if this is part of the process, or if I was laying down too much or if my bandages have been too tight? I'm going to have my stitches removed tomorrow and I will talk to my doctor. I read online that delayed swelling with Vaser was a thing. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Anyways... still very sore, I can't really touch it, and my neck has bruised yellow. All and all, I am wearing a turtle neck and no one has noticed or mentioned it at work. I'm hopeful that the swelling will go down soon. I've been using arnica cream on it, several times a day. And I have a CBD cream I use when it gets extra itchy.
CBD Gumies for the pain have helped me avoid using any of my prescribed ones so far.

I had chin lipo done a week ago. I was looking better on day 3 and now on day 7, I look slightly worse. I think our bodies will go through several phases of healing. I've been pretty diligent with my compression wrap, only removing to shower. Yesterday was the most I had it off and I woke up slightly worse. My doctor advised me to keep the compression garment 24/7 for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, only at night for a few months. I wouldn't get discouraged, just keep up with your compression. Let me know how you're doing!

Okay. Good call. I'm gonna wear the garment as much as possible.

Your results look great! I was ridiculously bruised on day #3! You barely have any bruising. Despite weighing 115lbs my double chin made me look like I weighed double my weight, I hated for as long as could remember and I am so glad I made the choice to finally get rid of it.
I am almost 2 months post-op now and I still strap on my “jaw bra” for a couple of hours each day, it helps so much with pain and swelling.
I still have numbness on my chin and some lumps, but I have really seen a positive change in the last 2 weeks.
The jaw bra is a pain, but I really think it’s worthwhile to wear it as long as you can tolerate.

I am 2 months post-op and I occasionally have days that I still see some discoloration, swelling and bruising. My compression garment aka my “jaw bra” is a God send and helps to reduce swelling and lumps within an hour of putting it on. I wear it for 1-3 hours a day now, but never at night... my husband says it makes me snore!

This is great to know! I have tried to wear the garment as much as I can. I'm going to continue to wear it for the months to come.

pls where did you get your garment from
January 5, 2019
My plastic surgeon gave me 2 garments before my procedure. I'm happy that he gave me 2 because it allows me to always have a clean one ready to go. The garment is made by a company called "Marena Comfortwear". It is called a "recovery chin strap" and it fastens on the top of my head with a strong strip of velcro and also at the back of my neck with another piece of velcro.
