I am so happy with the results of my neck/face lift with Dr. Khoury. He is a warm and kind person who takes the time to explain everything so that I felt completely comfortable with the surgery. His staff is amazing too! From the moment I walked into their office I felt attended to and comfortable. Before, during and after my surgery Dr. Khoury and the staff answered all of my questions and helped me to be comfortable and addressed all of my needs. My family and friends all comment that I look amazing - and not like I've had "work done" like so many people do. The results are so natural looking. I look younger and refreshed. Thanks to Dr. Khoury and the staff. I'm so grateful to you.
After at least 2 years of researching Plastic Surgeons, I am so grateful that I met Dr. Khoury. From the initial consultation with Dr. Khoury, and his amazing staff, I knew immediately, I chose the right surgeon for a face/neck lift procedure. I felt like I became part of their “family” from the moment I arrived. My results are beyond amazing!! No one can tell that I had surgery, because, it looks so natural, and, I look “refreshed” – which is exactly what I was hoping for. I highly recommend Dr. Khoury and his team!! It will be well worth it, to have an initial consultation, before, settling on any other surgeon.
Dr. Khoury and his staff are remarkably. Dr. Khoury methodically presents the process from the moment you arrive for surgery until 6 months post surgery. There are no surprises as to what will happen the day of your surgery. It’s true he provides his cell phone number for questions or concerns and responds promptly. He is kind, knowledgeable, and most importantly has suburb surgical skills. The staff is equally kind and knowledgeable. My after surgery care giver aka my husband was impressed with him and staff. I highly recommend Dr. Khoury and staff.
Dr Khoury and his team are truly amazing! My results are beyond my expectations! Dr. Khoury is very kind and easy to talk to from the consult to follow ups. My only regret is, I wish I had this procedure sooner! Thank you Dr. Khuory and Team!
Dr. Khoury is truly the best surgeon. Thank you very much doctor! Excellent performance, decent prices. The results are amazing! He is the only Doctor Who discloses prices on his website. Try to find another doctor whose work performance does not leave severe swelling or bruises within a week
I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Khoury and his exceptional staff. Dr. Khoury took the time to make sure I understood the mechanics behind the changes to my face. The recovery from the surgery was quick - very little bruising and minimal swelling. My after pictures are 60 days post surgery. It looks so natural and although I get many "you look great, have you been on vacation?" comments - I don't get any "did you have a facelift?" questions - exactly what I was looking for.
I decided that my neck bands and wrinkles would not change through anything but surgery. I was born with lovely dimples but they become permanent lines that extend to your chin over time, not good. . . Updated on 25 Feb 2020: Day #1 - Surgery at the doctor’s surgical center on site. I took two pills that knocked me out; the doctor numbed me up and the process proceeded. This was my preference as I hate being put under any kind of anesthesia. I arrived at 8 am and departed around noon. Updated on 25 Feb 2020: We went back to the doctor’s office to have drains and bandaging removed. I cannot take pain medication which is always a challenge. The doctor opted to give me Valium for the pain and muscle relaxer. It worked well. Updated on 25 Feb 2020: No make up again! I am not allowed to use until Day 10. There is pain with this procedure; for me it is the neck and ears. That said, it will be worth it as my neck is so much tighter and my dimples are back where they used to be. Updated on 25 Feb 2020: Definitely feeling better. My doctor said the bruising, if any, would settle in my lower neck. I have tightness most of the time, sometimes tighter than other times. I have been icing which seems to help the tightness. My ears have been numb and the sensation is coming back slowly which feels weird. One thing I have done is to incorporate a red light/NIR light panel that I have for healing the area. I had a severe wound last year that responded very well to red light therapy. I was given the go ahead by my doctor’s office and started it on Day #2, after the bandaging was removed. I am already getting ‘zingers’ from the healing process. Updated on 27 Feb 2020: I returned to the doctor’s office today to have stitches from under my chin and around my ears removed. Apparently, there are ‘dissolvable’ stitches behind my ear lobes which should take care of themselves. The doctor said that my healing has progressed very well and my face will continue to evolve. There are definite areas that are numb and swollen. My next follow up is one month out. Great doctor and staff! Updated on 12 Apr 2020: I feel good. There is some residual numbness on my lower ears, directly under my chin and in front of my ears. This surgery did exactly what I wanted. My surgeon said that I will continue to age (darn) and I could do this again, in 10 years, if I wanted to. I’m in no rush to do anything and don’t really feel like I need to anyway. Updated on 14 May 2020: Everything is healing well. I have no complaints. I have not had any follow ups, due to COVID-19, but expect that I should be able to see the doctor this month. I have some residual numbness in the ear area and directly under my chin.
I have been thinking of getting my upper eyelids done for many years. I was finally able to have it done and the results are exactly what I was hoping for. Only day 1 was painful, the day of surgery, but it was manageable. Not really any pain after that. Very happy! Updated on 18 Jul 2019: I wanted to add pictures from almost every day. What I noticed is that I looked much more bruised than in pictures, so don't think your bruising is worse than others because their pictures don't look like they bruised. Pictures just don't pick it up well. I will add another picture when I feel there is some final results. Updated on 22 Nov 2019: I'm still super happy with my results even though it's not quite as perfect as I would have liked. I had scar tissue going vertically through one eyelid which caused a tear when stitching. I can see it now that Greer swelling has gone, but not that noticeable. I have some bumps I'm going to checked out along the incision, but that is a common problem. I also had a scar on the outer portion of my other lid that could have been used to hide the new scar or even have been made smaller. Ialso think a smidgemore skin could have been taken off of the right side. Oh,well. Compared to before I'm still ecstatic! Look how much fun eyeshadow is now!
I have absolutely hated my chin for a while now. I have tried CoolSculpting on my chin. I tried it twice each time a year apart. I felt like the first time I noticed some results but the second time I think caused maybe a little bit of loose skin. Either way my chin still look terrible. After reading reviews online I decided that liposuction was the way to go. Ended had a much shorter healing time than something like kybella and it yielded better results. I look through over a dozen different facial plastic surgeons in the Denver and Colorado area. After seeing Dr. Khoury's results, and with the knowledge that he was one of the best facial plastic surgeons in Denver, and his price point was right for what I was looking for. I decided to go with him. It was a long process to get the initial consultation because he has a several-month waiting list but I was able to get pushed up, and to have my surgery the week before Christmas so that I could have some extended time off for recovery. Everyone at his office is very sweet, very reassuring, the facility is very clean, and professional. Dr. Khoury will be honest about what you need. And he will turn you away if he feels you don't need a particular surgery. Luckily he took on my double chin. On the day of my surgery he was very kind, and explained all of the medications and detail, and instructed my mother on all of my aftercare instructions. They gave me some prescriptions to fill out prior and I brought them to my appointment. This included the sedative, antibiotic, and pain meds. The sedative was interesting because it made me feel almost drunk, and they wheeled me into surgery, did local anesthetic, and if I remember correctly I think I may have even been talking during the procedure cuz I didn't feel anything. After I was still loopy, and made my mom get me fast food. Ate it just fine, and went home and went to bed. The next morning the anesthetic had worn off, and I just tried to lay low, it wasn't necessarily painful, but it did hurt. I have been taking a variety of natural supplements to help with my healing. And I would highly recommend the following: *SPM active by metagenics (inflammation) * regenemax by xymogen (collagen rebuilder) * arnica pellets *arnica cream. It's been 3 days, and i'm still very swollen but I already notice a change. I can't say enough good things about Dr.Khoury. He even wheeled me to my mom's car! Updated on 26 Dec 2018: It's been 5 days since my surgery, and I returned to my desk job today. I noticed that I have more swelling and it looks worse then it did at Day 3. I'm kinda curious if this is part of the process, or if I was laying down too much or if my bandages have been too tight? I'm going to have my stitches removed tomorrow and I will talk to my doctor. I read online that delayed swelling with Vaser was a thing. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Anyways... still very sore, I can't really touch it, and my neck has bruised yellow. All and all, I am wearing a turtle neck and no one has noticed or mentioned it at work. I'm hopeful that the swelling will go down soon. I've been using arnica cream on it, several times a day. And I have a CBD cream I use when it gets extra itchy. CBD Gumies for the pain have helped me avoid using any of my prescribed ones so far.
Nicest, most honest, sincere, caring and skilled surgeon. Went on SEVERAL consultations of very highly rated plastic surgeons and no one compared. His work is amazing - with results that exceed my expectations. I could not more highly recommend Dr. Khoury. I am just an everyday person, not a repeat or overly rich person with money to throw at plastic surgery - BUT Dr. Khoury's work and results are life altering to how I feel everyday! I would do it again every time!
It may depend on your age. The lower face and neck lifts usually go together; they address the same anatomical muscle. Most of the time this is one procedure. There are situations when each is done separately, but if you have jowls and evidence of neck banding, then it is best to have a lower face/neck lift. The eyes are totally separate anatomically, and can be done at anytime. I would basically address the areas that bother you the most. Generally, changes to the lower face and neck give the impression of aging; changes to the eyelid areas are associated with tiredness.
The best time for a facelift is when you are completely comfortable and convinced with the decision. A patient's age is a small part of the decision process. The mental and physical state of the patient are the important factors. Many patients comment about feeling much younger than they appear, and want the outside to match the inside. As long as you are healthy you should be fine. I perform the majority of my facelifts under local anesthetic with very safe minimal oral sedation. I have done many patients in their 80s this way, and it is safer on them medically compared to going under general anesthesia. Patients rebound very quickly this way, especially when I perform the laser assisted facelifts. The same facelift (deep plane facelift) that would require weeks to recover, now look great at a week. I have photos of patients in their 80s who look great at 7 days due to the laser assisted part of the lift.
Most doctors are referring to laser facelifts in the traditional resurfacing sense. I will tend to agree with most of the comments made by my colleagues here. But there is a new role for lasers in facelifts. Utilizing the laser component of the SmartLipo machine as part of the facelift can be advantageous over traditional facelifts. This is a totally new procedure that applies the laser beam to the under surface of the skin at the beginning of the facelift procedure. The benefits include less bleeding (almost none), less bruising, less swelling, quick recovery. Probably the most beneficial part is the continued skin tightening that occurs months after the procedure is done. This is similar to SmartLipo to the neck, but extended to the face. Many surgeons perform SmartLipo to the neck and manage to get a considerable amount of skin tightening due to the laser; in addition to fat removal. Same concept applies to the face, but within the confines of a facelift. Very few surgeons are performing this nationally, Dr. Gentile is one of the pioneers of this method and practices in Ohio. Regards.
I actually visited Dr. Serdev a few months ago in Bulgaria. Suture suspension lifts have not been received well historically. Dr. Serdev has built a career with his unique proprietary sutures and instruments. His sutures have an elastic quality to them that move with the tissue and minimize the possibility of them tearing through. Another difference is the use of his specially designed needles that allow for non traumatic anchoring of these sutures to specific areas of the face. I have performed a few of his procedures with excellent results. I do tell my patients that this is not a long term solution as the sutures do dissolve and we have not done any major undermining prior to the lift. Dr. Serdev's results last years and he has the photos to prove it. I still prefer traditional lifting procedures, but only offer it as a last alternative to patients who do not want anything invasive (mostly brows and cheeks) and are aware that this may not last more than a year or two. I also price it accordingly, more like fillers than a procedure.
It is normal to have numbness around your ears after a face lift. Normal sensation typically will return within 3 months, but can take up to a year if not longer in a select few. As things return to normal, you may experience some sharp shooting pain, tingling, or even the urge to itch the skin. Return to normal will not be that far off if you start to experience these symptoms. Swelling may also take a while to resolve, but typically residual swelling may be confined to certain areas, not the whole face. Many patient will actually feel more swollen than they physically manifest. This is like when you walk out of the dentist's office, the lips are numb and feel like they are huge, but they are not. The same applies to the face; when it is numb, those areas will feel more swollen than they actually are. But even in the presence of identifiable swelling, it may take months to resolve.
