I lost 32lbs hoping my double chin would go away, but it didn't budge. It's not terrible, but it still bothers me. I'm a healthy weight now, I take great care of my skin & I don't want my chin aging me. My jaw wasn't defined & I was carrying some fat under the chin as well. I had my chin lipo procedure done yesterday. It was done in office, I was given a prescription to keep me calm & my chin was numbed with lidocaine injections. The procedure only took 30 minutes. I was given a compression garment to wear for the next 5 days, then I will sleep in it for the next two weeks.
Pain wise, I'm doing fine. I haven't taken any pain pills. It hurts if I touch my neck, so I'm just leaving it alone. I don't seem to have any bruising yet, but it's only day two. I can definitely tell that my neck is swollen. I'll keep making progress reports as I heal.

Still doing well.
It's now Thursday and I had my chin lipo Tues morning. Still no bruising, just swollen & sore to the touch. Nothing that needs pain medicine. I'm sleeping propped up and that's getting annoying, but I know it helps with the swelling.

Day 5 update.
It's now Saturday. My lipo was done on Tuesday. I've got light yellowish green bruising showing up, nothing bad at all. I was expecting pretty major bruising because my skin is sensitive, I bruise & swell easily, so I'm very pleasantly surprised. I've worn my compression wrap non-stop except for short breaks. Sometimes it starts to bug me & I've just got to take it off for a few minutes. My neck feels odd, a bit numb yet tender. I'm already noticing results even though I'm still definitely swollen.

Hi, thank you for the updates. I also had liposuction on Tuesday and my neck has major bruising still. Nearly all around the lower neck at the bottom of the head/neck strap. It's mostly purple with a bit of yellow so hopefully on the mend now. Your results sound really good so far. I took my strapping off for the first time today and I can see improvement even with the swelling. I left the compression off for an hour and could tell the difference after an hour. So I will wear the compression as much as possible for another 2 weeks. Mine wasn't smart liposuction. Good luck with yours

It's been 1 week today and my swelling is worse because I didn't wear my compression band nearly as much yesterday. It doesn't look like I even had anything done, lol. I've got a double chin again, but I'm assuming it's only temporary. I never did get much bruising, only light yellow, no purple at all. Much more minimal than I expected.

Well you are nothing like me, I still have quite visible bruising like a ring on my neck. Not trying to be funny but I'm still trying to stay out of public view in case people think I tried to hang myself. hoping it will all be gone by Monday :)
I do believe I am looking a lot better even at this early stage and looking forward to the progress and the difference I will see once the neck swelling has gone down. I have a couple of lumps which I'm reading will go away. I may have to start sporting a three day growth beard. Thank you for your updates :)

I had a hair appointment yesterday & was out and about and my bruising wasn't visible to anyone. I literally had to convince my hairdresser that I did have something done to myself, lol. My swelling was worse than days previous, so I'm going to wear my compression band more today. I have a couple lumpy areas too, if feels weird but I'm sure it's temporary :)
