WORTH IT$6,000
So almost all of the swelling from my chin implant is gone now, still a little bit swollen and lumpy from the Submental liposuction but that can take a good 6 months to heal properly. All my stitches have dissolved now and my smile is looking a lot better!
Overall, I’m really happy with the result and so glad I went through with it. The more I look at the before pictures, the happier I am about my decision to have this done! It’s actually changed my face so much for the better, everything is so much more balanced now and I no longer look gormless haha. I’m thrilled :)

6 week update!
kpnuts1July 4, 2018
Hi guys,
Sorry I haven’t posted in ages. Just wanted to give you a quick update. So a lot of the swelling has gone now and I’m feeling a lot happier with how it looks! My smile is also coming back slowly so I’m not as worried about that side of it now. I still think my lower lip looks less full than before I had it done, but it has got a bit fuller over the last few weeks so I’m hoping it’ll go completely back to normal soon!
I’ve uploaded a 6 week post pic to show you where I’m at. I love my new chin so much and so glad the boxy look is fading away as the swelling goes down! I’m still a bit lumpy and swollen under my chin from the lipo but I know that can take a good 6 months to settle down, so it can only get better from here.
I’ll upload an updated before/after picture in a few days. Seeing my surgeon tomorrow, can’t wait to show him the results so far and thank him of course!!

Hi!! I think your implant looks great. Are you happy with it? Can you feel it under your skin? I've had a consult for a facelift and the ps recommended a chin implant.

Hey! Thank you :) yes I’m very happy with the result, especially since the swelling’s gone down!! I can’t really feel it, there is one spot where I think I can but it could just be bone!

Feeling insecure
kpnuts1June 1, 2018
So I’m starting to feel really insecure with how different I look from the front, I love how my new side profile looks but atm I feel like from the front my face looks longer, masculine and my lips look tiny. I’m hoping and praying this is all due to swelling and in a few weeks time i won’t be feeling this way, but atm I’m so insecure and I’m dreading going back to work in 3 days.
My smile is really small and crooked too, I know it can take months to come back but I’m worried that it’ll stay like this now. I used to love my full lips but now they look tiny and narrow compared to the rest of my face.
Please tell me this is all of this is normal?!

Today I am feeling less emotional and I started to think more clearly and I do not want to make decisions out of impulse and I was debating whether to take this 5mm implant out or switch it for a 2mm implant like yours so I came to your review to see how you are doing. And I see what you just wrote. Let me just share my experience and it not to scare you but to know this is normal. I freaked out at day 4 when I saw my face swollen. And I went back to work on day 9 post op. Day 8th I cried my eyes out. I prayed for the swelling to go down so my coworkers wouldn't notice and well people noticed my change. But at the same time, the doc gave me a 5mm implant. However, some swelling still went down until day 11 or maybe 12. I haven't seen change since then. So maybe you can say you are swollen from dental work. And hopefully nobody notices it. I do see the change in your face both chin and lips. However, it is not as dramatic as I felt mine was and still is. And you still got 2 days ahead. And there is still swelling on your face. Drink pineapple juice so it keeps helping you with swelling. Hope nobody notices it. Or if they do, that they think you got good rest.

Also, the first 7 days I felt that my nose got smaller, and I started appreciating my pretty nose lol then as swelling went down I felt my nose was still the same, a bit bigger but honestly, this surgery has taught me to love myself as I am and I feel that I like my nose now with all its "imperfections". So maybe your lips look smaller due to your swelling. My lip did lose some of it fullness due to the implant pushing my lip upwards which makes a bit of my lip disappear into my upper lip.

I’m really hoping it is just swelling and it’ll go down and I’ll be happy with the result. Cos right now I’m really not sure :( my smile has completely changed and I hate it but then everyone says that you can’t smile properly for at least a month so there’s still hope yet! Even when my lips are resting though, they just look so small and tight, I still have stitches in my mouth too so I’m hoping that my bottom lip will come out more and not look so stiff! Makes my smile look like sunken in. I know what you mean about loving yourself, I’m starting to feel that way too now. I wish I could have loved myself enough not to consider plastic surgery, I really thought this would be the answer cos I’ve been so self conscious but now I still feel self conscious, maybe even a bit more so. Ugh!!

Yes, healing takes time. I think that I do not have anymore swelling but my lip haa come out a bit more. Or maybe I got used to it. But it is looking a bit better. And I will be 3 weeks on Monday so give it time
June 3, 2018
Ahh I’m hoping mine will too! It’s so hard to be patient isn’t it? Can you smile properly yet?

Under my chin. And no my lower lip doesn't move downwards. )= but yes waiting for the smile to come back is hard because is a daily activity. I have stop trying to smile though since Thursday because it brings a lot of frustration. I feel the muscles tight and I feel it looks weird. I used to smile wide showing my teeth but now I'm just smiling with my lips. So try not to push it. Because it brings frustration.

Hello ..... I wanted to give you good news that might help.you with this process. My lip looks full now. Remember I told you it was sinked in or it looked thinner, well today I felt that it looked normal again and I have been lookong at pictures and it is. It still doesn't move down. But I feel like I look a little bit more like myself with my lips looking like they used to before. It makes me want to wait for full recovery before taking it out or contemplating about taking it out. So your lip might not go back to normal.tomorrow but it will in a few weeks.
June 7, 2018
Hey! Aw that’s great news, thanks so much for letting me know :) has your smile improved too? Yeah, you definitely should wait for full recovery, it does take a good 8 weeks for most of the swelling to subside. I’ve actually noticed my swelling go down quite a bit the last few days and my face looks less longer, my lip looks a bit fuller too! So I’m not as self conscious now. We’ve just got to be patient, even though it’s really hard to be!
June 7, 2018
Yes, although I pretty much made my decision already. I want it out. the doctor placed a too big on a implant on my face. I still look way too different than my previous face. my smile has not been back. I am waiting for it to go back. I will wait to be 2 months to take it out but I am dying to have it out. Your change looks very subtle though. Did people noticed? I am guessing people didn't notice.

Aw, that’s a shame! Do you think you’ll go for a smaller implant or not at all? My swellings gone down so much now it’s looking much better, il have to update this in the next few days! Only people who knew I was having it done noticed but nobody else has which I’m so relieved about!!
June 15, 2018
No, I am afraid I will still not like it and want it out and have to go through another surgery. I spoke with another surgeon and I will be taking it out in a month. I am excited hahaha. Weird to say. But, I wanted to share. So the new surgeon I saw told me that my surgeon should have given me a card or a paper with all the information from my implant. The manufacturer, the size, the type and lot number for me.to have for the future just in case. But mine didn't. I will ask for it either today or Monday.
June 18, 2018
Aw, I’m happy for you! Such a shame you had to go through all this to hate the result tough :( I’m still really on/off with how I feel, but I know it’s only been just over 3 weeks, still some swelling to go yet!! I will upload some pics this week to update! Being back at work sucks haha
June 18, 2018
yeah it is unfortunate. I hope my chin goes back to what it looked before. I am over my paranoid phase so I think I will upload my pics again and hopefully my recovery goes well and my chin goes back to normal. I would like to see your pics. I see that you have been patient with your recovery. I sleep on my side sometimes. My chin doesn't really touch the pillow so that is good. I missed sleeping on my side. Besides from not liking how it looks, I must say recovery has not been bad. I get shooting pain from time to time during the day or a burning sensation under my chin throughout the day. The muscles are still tight, but a little bit less every week. They feel tight when I floss or when I am laughing and smiling wide.

You are wayyy too soon to see the final result! Even when you think the swelling is gone, there is still swelling there! You look great already but movement will be returning no swelling I'll be going down for months. I was a ? For perhaps 6 months, now I love mine. Good luck and congratulations!!
July 3, 2018
Thanks :) that really helps! Swelling’s gone down quite a bit now so feeling a lot happier with how it looks, and I can smile a bit better. Just can’t wait until it’s all fully recovered!
