Pictures 4 days post removal

Still swollen and tight/tingling feeling.
Eating: I could eat almost normaly directly after surgery. It was no problem moving my jaws up and down, but moving from side to side was more painful (not unbearable). It was easier eating soft food or soups that didnt require to much movement to the sides. I can eat harder food now like raw vegetables, but it's easier if they are cut into smaller pieces.
I will update with new pictures when the swelling is down which should be in a couple of weeks. Also I will update when the pain/tight/tingling feeling goes away. Hoping the numbness will disapear soon, hopefully on both sides!

That "inward bend" is praticaly invisible now. Still swollen and numb. My profile looks normal acept from some kind of "lump" on the right profile which probably/hopefully will eaven out with time. It isn't visible when I have my mouth slightly open. It stil feels very tight when I put my lips togheter and I can't pout properly with my lips yet cause of that tight feeling.

Pictures pre chin implant removal

You can se the shadow under my lower lip, it got like that over time. It's like this really huge "inward bend" that I never had before. This happened due to bone resorption (which I found out later). It's very visible from all angles and looks disgusting. Also the implant made my chin look longer. So appart from being really uncomfortable the implant was also causing me physiological stress. Im so glad that I took it out. What's scary is that my surgeon never told me about any risks with bone resorption. Also it's not something you feel (at least not in my case) and it progresses slowly. It actually took me quite a while before I noticed that "inward bend" and at that time I couldn't even tell if it had always been like that or if it was something that had developed over time. All I knew was that I found it more disgusting than ever knowing I had this foreign object inside of me...aside of all the other negative effects it had on me (numbness/heavy feeling etc). It wasn't until I got the before pictures when I got back to the surgeon who put the implant in that I noticed the huge difference and how (pretty) my chin used to look. Now ny only hope is that it will go back as close to how it used to look...
