If You Want the Best of the Best, Please Go to Dr. Rahban!!

I have always had a complex with my round face, lack of chin, and the presence of a double chin that would just not go away no matter how much I exercised. I have done seemingly everything non-surgical that might help: from kybella treatments, to facial liposuction, to fat-transfer to my chin area. However almost all treatments were temporary and although there were slight improvements, they were not significant enough to give me the results I wanted. After going through all the non-invasive treatments, I finally decided to try a more permanent solution and looked into chin implants. I read review after review and did research on many plastic surgeons who had experience with chin augmentations. I was looking for the best of the best; this was my face after all and I was determined not to settle for any less. I came across Dr. Rahban and after reading reviews and watching videos of him, I felt something different about him than all other surgeons. Even though I live in a different state, I decided to fly out to California for a consultation with him. My consultation confirmed and cemented that he was a surgeon I could trust my face with. He is very direct and gets right to the point, telling you what he sees and what needs to be done to make it better. He suggested a trio of chin implant, buccal fat removal, and chin liposuction so that I can have a more contour look instead of the "moon face" look I had. I was actually hesitant about the buccal fat removal because I had read things online saying it might make you lose the "youthful" look and look hollow/sunken as you age, and I also read a review about how someone lost their dimples after buccal fat removal (since I have dimples). I also worried that it might make my nose more prominent, as I have a larger side-nose profile. I conveyed these concerns to Dr. Rahban and he immediately reassured me by telling me that I already have enough fat in my cheeks even without the buccal fat so I will not lose any youthfulness and it will not make my nose more prominent. I decided to trust the expert and underwent all the procedures he recommended. He even decided to do some very light lipo around my jowl area to help reduce the slightly fatty/saggy jowls I have. It is now over 2 months post-op and I seriously could not be happier with the results!! He chose the perfect chin implant size, the buccal fat removal really contoured my face (and my dimples were not gone!), and the lipo got rid of the excess fat that made me look rounder. Everything he suggested was for the better and really gave me the results I was looking for, especially since my face shape wasn't the easiest to deal with. I am so much more confident with my looks, especially my side profile and I can now take pictures confidently without worrying about a round face lol! People could not tell that I had done something but I received lots of compliments saying it looked like I lost weight or got prettier. I cannot recommend Dr. Rahban enough. If he does this well with chin augmentation, I can confidently say he will be amazing in anything else he does.
As someone who relied on reviews to make my decision and then relied on them during the periods right after surgery and is now on the other side, I want to tell anyone who is considering chin augmentation to see Dr. Rahban if you truly want to achieve the best results. I also want to share what to expect right after surgery. During the first 2 weeks after surgery, I would look in the mirror and cry because I thought I made a huge mistake and honestly thought Dr. Rahban put too big of an implant in my chin. It looked so odd and out of place during that time and when I went to my 2-week check up, I shared my concerns and he told me it is so swollen and that I need to be patient and let it settle down. He told me that chin augmentation is one of the only surgical procedures where he tells people to wait the full 3 months for the final result. Now that it has been over 2 months, I really agree that you should not be looking in the mirror and considering the outcome until at least this mark. It looks so natural now and if he went with a smaller implant, I don't think I would have been happy with it. I really cannot recommend Dr. Rahban enough. He gave me the confidence boost I needed and is truly a skilled surgeon :)

You are spot on with the cost lol! It was $8k for the chin implant, $2k for the buccal fat removal and $3k for the lipo but they discounted $1k for doing all 3.

I'm reaching out to this surgeon for a 2nd opinion and was wondering about your post op exp? I'm 7 mo post op from going to a top PS in San Francisco and my left side feels totally natural but my right side has regained full feeling and always just feels off. I told to give it time or remove it but am hoping another highly regarded PS can fix it since I do love how it looks. Does yours feel natural? Did it take a long time to regain full feeling?

Right side hasn't regained full feeling* only about 50% feeling but I can feel the implant even at resting position on that side.
