Custom Jaw Implant

WORTH IT$18,000
I had a custom jaw implant with Dr Y in May. Before surgery I provided the doctor with very specific edited images show the Dr what I wanted and didnt want. I had a pretty recessed chin and basically no jaw before the surgery and asked for something really sharp and defined. After that, I got a CT scan and he created the design for my implant. I was concerned the chin was going to be too big from what I saw but he assured me it would be fine (and it was). The staff was unbelievable. They responded to my emails (of which I sent many due to pre-surgery nerves) almost immediately and let me come in 4 times before surgery to go over everything.
The surgery was at the private surgical center on Comm Ave. Everyone was super nice and friendly and I woke up a few hours later in the recovery room. I had two nurses through the night. They were both incredibly kind and friendly and took great care of me. At this point I had drains in and was delirious.
I came home and realized half of my face was much more swollen. After a few days, on a Sunday, I called the doctor fearing that I had developed a hematoma. He opened the office to see me with the Dr Ratanshi who worked with Dr Y on the surgery. They went above and beyond by seeing me on a day off. They gave me a cortisone shot and over the course of a week the hematoma went away.
I came in a few times after whenever I was concerned but swelling went down pretty quickly. To be honest I looked like I was wearing a fat suit at first because my head looked so huge but im now around 2 months out and it looks fantastic. The scar on my chin has disappeared. I do still have two tiny red marks where the drains were placed but no one has noticed.
I feel a lot more confident. I'm thrilled with the results.

You look great! Implants definitely require a lot of time and patience during the healing process.

Your results look great. If you don't mind, could you post a few more "after" photos from the front and side, or maybe send them via PM? I'm actually considering going to the same surgeon to have wraparound jaw implant surgery in a few months and would love to see a few more photos, if you don't mind.

What does it feel like having jaw implants? Can you feel it or is it like part of our body? Can you chew properly?

implant design

sw3
Hi, I am attaching photos with the implant design. I was very specific with Dr Y about what I wanted and I did not need to make any alterations to the initial design he made for the implant. Feel free to PM me for more pictures as I do not want to add many onto here.

What are the dimensions in mm?

Your chin looks like at least 12mm?

Also wondering what the dimensions are on your implant. You cant quite make them out on the picture you posted. Do you mind sharing with us?

Hi, could you DM me a picture of the implant design, specifically the width on the sides? Thanks!

hi,
Your results looks stunning and this is what Iam aspiring for to get the same results. Its male model tier jawline. Would you mind sharing please the design of the implant in PM please. I would be very thankful to you for that. The design you posted actually the measurements are little blurry. It would be really helpful for people like us whom are aspiring to get the custom implant to get the design right. Thank you so very much again and looking forward to your reply:-)

I had jaw implants put in back in 2015 and developed bad pain from them. I was scheduled to have them removed a couple days ago but they cancelled the surgery mere seconds before giving me anesthesia because my heart rate skyrocketed. I just feel so terrible. The jaw implants cause me a lot of pain everyday and I just want them taken out.

Sorry to hear that! Good luck on solving that problem!

So sorry to hear. Who was your doctor? Also curious about why you developed a bad pain from the implants. Did you get any answers as to why? I hope you were able to get them removed.

Amazing! Couple questions: How long were you out of work post-surgery? When were you cleared to fly back? Total time of stay in Boston? Appreciate the info
