Getting my medium chin implant out March 24h! Dr. Kim wants to replace it with a small one. I asked if I should just not replace it and he said I would look best with a small vs nothing. Also, going to see about getting a little more lipo in the pesky jowl area on my jawline.

Sorry if you've stated this previously, but do you know the name/style of your current implant?

No, just know it medium and too big for me:(

I only ask because the same thing happened to me and I needed a revision. I had a "medium" anatomical implant with my first surgery. I had no idea that a medium in that style was actually 9mm which is very large. I currently have a extra small flowers mandibular glove implant and its 5mm. It's the perfect size. Your implant looks very similar to my first implant in the pics, it was a the same shape.

He only had 2 sizes he showed me small and medium. I was just going to go back and have it taken completely but he said no you should put the small one in it was a lot smaller than this one basically it looks like it's just gonna be in the front

So I was looking at your profile did you go to two different doctors can you tell me a little bit about the cost in case this one doesn't turn out well I'm so unhappy with my side profile and when I smile even looks bigger he did not have a lot to choose from either so I hope everything turns out OK and I can't wait to get there and get this out. You're chin looks so good now!

Are your dimples "natural" or were they enhanced or created at some other time?

Dr. Kim did my dimples at the same time as chin

Ahh, thank you. I should have read your title more carefully. They looked a little "different" to me so I wasn't sure.

Chin implant exchange in April

User Avatar

I had my FaceTime consultation. With Dr. Kim about a week ago he agreed that the chin implant was slightly too big. In his defense it’s my fault he suggested the small one and I wanted to go with the medium so I am going back to Atlanta in April when my dimples are healed. he said my dimples could take 3 to 4 months but he does not want to exchange the implant until they have healed completely. I’m still looking a little jowly, he said he will assess the jowl situation once I’m there and possibly do a little more micro liposuction in the jowl area.

I saw your before pictures. Your suh a pretty you girl. I hope he takes the chin implant out and go with a smaller one or nothing at all. At your age many of us strive for some kind of “other” perfection. You were all ready so pretty and good enough. You have great skin beautiful eyes super nice hair,
Look up Louis Hay, start to learn to love yourself, really love yourself.

Just because she’s getting work done DONT mean she don’t love her self

Slight improvement

User Avatar
Lilarivera
I’m about 7 weeks post op now and see a slight improvement from last few weeks. I have a FaceTime appointment with my doctor tomorrow to discuss my chin and jawline. I’m unhappy with the bulk look of my chin and wonky uneven jawline especially on the right side. Whatever needs to be done I’ll have to do because I really wanted a more defined side profile and I haven’t achieved that result so I’m not sure what he’ll suggest tomorrow.

How did the FaceTime appt. go? I had my chin implant in for over 2 years. Hated it! Had it removed about a year ago. I wish I would've had it removed sooner but was told to be patient. It never changed. Glad it's gone!

He agreed it was a little too big for my face. I'm flying to Atlanta in March to exchange it for a small one. He confirmed the one I have now is medium.

Thank you, I had my FaceTime with my doctor he said it's a little too big for my face and the small would fit my face better. I'll go back in March or April to have it switched out. I have to wait until these dimples heal they're still really visible when I'm not smiling. Your chin looks like you were born with it it looks very balanced

Mine is quite chunky when you look at it in true profile like your latest photo, I’m trying to decide if it’s still at all swollen or not x

I asked doctor if I was still swollen, he said no .He said at eight weeks swelling It's pretty much gone
