Chin Implant Booked For 8th March

I've always hated my chin, and have experimented over the years with ways to make it look better. Growing facial hair, injectables, exercises etc.
Knowing ultimately I would get surgery, I sent my first chin implant enquiry away in 2015, so this has been a very long journey to get to this point.
When researching doctors I found there to be a fair lack of options in the UK, especially in Scotland where I am from. I decided to go with Dr Julia De Silva in the end, as his results were natural and I was interested in his technique that uses a few small screws to hold in the implant in place. Throughout my many (many) hours of only research, I found that malpositioning or migration were the biggest reasons for removal and this element of his approach will hopefully mitigate those potential outcomes.
The year prior, I had 5ml of Juvederm Voluma with Dr Nestor in Edinburgh, which looked fantastic. Despite looking so good, it would be much more economical to get the implant over a long period of time rather that continually pay for more injectables. Which is why I booked in for the implant as some of the filler started to naturally disperse.
Yesterday I had the remainder of that chin filler dissolved, leaving the mandibular in. I've noticed my chin is now wavy and distorted though; as if the skin has been stretched and can't go snap to normal. This makes me a bit scared of the implant which will be stretching even further.
Check back for updates and let me know any thoughts!
I will be getting a silicone implant, liposuction and neck tightening stitches (platysmaplasty I think?).

I think this is an unflattering pic in general. 80% accuracy I've been told - hoping I can get a tighter neck than this though, as this didn't factor in the neck tightening and was just liposuction/ implant.

Surgery was today.
Whole thing was easy af. Seriously.
My biggest fear was losing any nerve endings and my smile pulling to one side and that happened ever so slightly after the anaesthetic but has already disappeared which is great.
Second fear was being underwhelmed by the result. Around Christmas time we had discussed doing a large implant, but yesterday and today that was changed to a medium size. I’m apprehensive it won’t be enough projection for what I was looking for. However, I have a bit of a dip between my chin and lip, and the implant has already made it, as expected, more pronounced. Any larger and this might have looked crazy. Furthermore, the larger the implant the higher risk of bone absorption. So anything to reduce that is always a plus. For these reasons I think the medium actually might have been the better option for me personally.
From what I can see so far I’m looking at a nice discreet result, which looks even from the front on (always another big plus!)
So far, so good! Looking forward to the jawline liposuction and platysmaplasty tightening up. My liposuction experience in the past lends me to believe it will be a long time until that evens out correctly, so I’ll keep wearing my head wrap as long as possible!

I can already see great improvement. And as the swelling goes down you'll results will start showing better and better

Looks like you've gotten a good result so far. Do you know how many millimeters of projection were added by the implant?
