Cosmetic Surgery at its Best
WORTH IT
Before choosing a surgeon for a chin augmentation surgery I read patient reviews on dozens of facial surgery specialists and took consultations with the three most highly praised doctors.
In consultation, all three doctors impressed me with their expertise and extensive experience with chin augmentation. Each of the doctors was also friendly and appeared genuinely empathetic to my concerns and goals.
Darrick Antell’s office, though, was distinguished by the warmth of its staff. Each of Darrick’s team members; his receptionist, Kashi; his nurse, Nancy; and his office manager, Rosa, were friendly and appeared to care about my concerns and goals as much as I did. Any top plastic surgeon is motivated to show empathy when with a prospective patient. But, such warmth permeates through the office staff, it reflects a doctor’s authentic concern for his patients.
For that reason, I chose Darrick even though he was the most expensive option and I was budget constrained. I am glad that I did.
It is only a week after the surgery—it usually takes six months to see the final post-swelling results—and I would already rate my outcome 10/10.
Darrick took a bolder approach to my procedure than I believe other surgeons would have taken. Each of the other doctors I visited said they thought a medium sized implant was all that I needed. Darrick determined mid-surgery that an extra-large implant, the largest size available, would achieve the best objective aesthetic results.
The results were outstanding. Prior to the surgery I had shaved my beard. After the surgery, I got a cornucopia of compliments for revealing the attractive jawline my beard had hidden. Yet no one, including my immediate family, suspected I had received an implant. My mother, who knew I had been considering implant surgery, even said that my jawline was so attractive I had been silly to ever consider the option.
In short, I got the best possible results without anyone noticing I had a procedure. That is cosmetic surgery at its best. And it was worth every dollar.
