My contour miracle

I realize I haven't posted many pictures of my torso since day 10. I looked over my last few posts and it appears like I have been mainly fixated on my belly button. Yup, kinda true...but I have to say the last couple weeks I have looked at probably a hundred BB's ---psycho---I know...

I have compared BB's from top surgeons and beyond from everywhere in the US to foreign countries...Thanks Real Self! ...What I did realize is how "fickle" belly buttons are. But I also learned that my BB isn't so bad after all. Give or take a little ball of skin, maybe I will ask my PS to minimize it or maybe I won't. I don't know yet...

Anyway what I really want to show you is the progress from my aggressive back and flank lipo. Yup my PS had to do a number on me to get all that fat out! 2 liters worth...gross, but I desperately needed it. I can tell my back is still a little swollen and has a few slightly sore spots. My belly is still swollen (holy cow it's bad in the evenings) but that's to be expected.

Something I would like to share about myself is that I have been a military wife for 17 years and have endured 5 deployments (Iraq and Afghanistan) and given birth 4 times. I have gained and lost weight too many times to count during these events. I felt depressed for YEARS about my midsection, especially when going clothes shopping. NOW---Ball gown shopping...no
problem!...Orders to Hawaii...bring it on!....This is by far one of the best things I have ever done for myself.

I will update more before and afters soon. Good luck and happy healing!

Timeline of a Belly button....

As requested here is the transformation of my BB.

I love the side profile of my new belly!!! However, when I look at myself straight on I'm not thrilled with the "ball of skin" in my BB. It isn't exactly how I imagined but overall I am pleased. I just wish the ball of skin was smaller.

Rambling update

So far so good. But.....

I have all my energy back and trying to walk as much as I can...... my back is still sore from all the lipo...But NO more back fat!

My shirts haven't looked so good on me in years......my contour looks a little unbalanced, my hips seem larger than before..... But NO more "gut"!

My belly button healed great......still has a little ball in the middle...But looks so natural, not a single stitch line visible!

One way to describe this journey......hurts like hell....but completely worth it, No pain No Gain!

Continued wishes for happy healing!

Dr. Galiano was my first consultation of four that I had scheduled. I chose him as my surgeon over the others because his presence was warm and comforting. He answered all of my questions in great detail and was confident that he could deliver the results I am hoping for. Overall his kind personality and the results of his other tummy tucks posted here on RS helped me come to the conclusion that he is the right doctor for me. Also his assistant Robyn is great, she is prompt with returning calls and answering e-mails.
