WORTH IT$14,000
Well I'm 10 1/2 weeks out now. I am still swelling really bad! I weighed myself today and I am 12 lbs heavier than the day of surgery!!! I have been eating really really well. As good or better than I eat after having a baby to loose the weight, and this weight is going no where :( I called my PS and he said it is possible that it is all swelling. He said 2 lbs of it is the implants and the rest swelling. He doesn't think I've gained any real weight. What do you ladies think? I am worried that when the swelling goes down I will still be left with this extra weight. I have been eating good and working out at least 5 days a week so I don't think I could be gaining. It's just that 12 lbs is a lot!! I don't see how I could have that much extra fluid???

Well I am 7 weeks today and my swelling has not improved :(
My PS says it is normal, but it seems like everyone on here is looking much better by 7 weeks! He says that mine is harder to appreciate because I didn't have any skin to remove so the swelling just brings me back to where I was. I was really hoping to be smaller than when I started by now! On a positive note I love my breasts!
Happy healing everyone.

Cucumber water works great for swelling- you can add lemon, lime and mint too.

You make it- slice cucumbers put it in a pitcher of water- some people let it sit overnight or a few hours

I posted some pictures of my swelling. The part I was calling a lump is on the bottom right (it is on the left side of the picture) It's like a ridge kind of. It looks like I'm pregnant, or thats my scar or something. But it's not. My scar is really really low. Does anyone know why I have that ridge there???

drink lots of water, stop doing too much, be kind to yourself and it will go away! Good luck!

I'm 6 weeks post op tomorrow and I still have a lot of swelling about half the time. When I go without the binder I have more than when I have it on. But starting tomorrow I don't have to wear it at all anymore. I'm not sure how that will go. Sometimes I am really really swollen and look way bigger than I ever did pre tt. But it is getting better. Drinking water helps. I think it just takes time. About the lumps I don't know.

Thanks. I just hate looking worse than ever! When your swelling is down is your belly as flat as it was right at first before the swelling built up?

When the swelling is down yes my tummy is totally flat and looks great. Im very swollen today since its the first day without the binder. I'm optimistic it will lessen over time.

My ps had me wear my binder till 4 or 5 months and I still wore it at night after a year. I haven't been wearing it since I had my BA and BL and still swell some days.

Hi neighbor. I'm 11 weeks post op tomorrow and I still swell some everyday. My flanks from the lipo are still swollen and tender. I found for me that a light massage helps. For the first 8 weeks I iced several times aday. Just a couple of weeks ago I stopped using the ice and wearing the waistnipper which I started using after 6 weeks in the CG. The more I would do the more I would swell. This is a long healing process ... for me anyways. Good luck and happy healing! :)

Thanks. Do you think I should worry about the weird way I am swelling? My belly is coming out so round!

Have you asked your PS about your swelling? I don't think it's anything to be concerned about. I remember feeling like I was 9 months pregnant. Since your concerned you might feel better if you ask you PS about it.

Hi, we have similar stats- I'm 5'10" and 139 lbs, had surgery a day before you. I'm still swelling a lot too. The closest I've been to my pre-surgery weight is 1 lb heavier. I'm also having lopsided swelling. My lower left side swells more and I look like a butterball. I still can't get my pre-surgery pants on. You look great though.

Thank you for your comment! It really helps to know! I can put on my looser pants from pre op but I think it's because they are cut so low. My swelling is high for some reason. I'm glad to know its normal... But it still sucks. I hope we both get the skinny body we paid for soon :)
You should post some pictures. I would live to see before and afters!

I would ask you PS about the swelling.. Are you watching your salt intake and still wearing your binder?? Both those things help. Also if you over do it it will swell like crazy!!! I still swell after a year if I have salty things or don't drink enough water!
