WORTH IT$120
Tired of my thinning, aging eyelashes I took the plunge and purchased Latisse from my PS on March 20. I did my research, discussed with the patient coordinator and thought if it worked it was well worth the price. This definitely works although I do not notice that my lashes are thicker only longer perhaps with continued use they will get thicker. I also wipe the excess on my eyebrows-don't see much improvement here. What I have noticed is that my eyelid has darkened - not just a thin line as others have mentioned but the lower eyelid (not up to the brow). I do not see this as something to cause me to stop using product. I did notice when I first started using the product my eyes itched, but that has stopped with continued use. I wish that the product could be purchased without the brushes, they are too thick and waste product (Latisse packaging). I chose to purchase a thin eyeliner brush (as many have) and use that which gives more control where the product goes and clean it after each use. I also use one drop of product for both eyes to make the product last longer-it seems using two drops is a waste of product. The product might not be so costly if the brushes were eliminated or Latisse gave you a choice of purchasing the entire kit or just the product. Pricing and packaging is the decision of Latisse not my PS. So overall I love the product it has given me back my eyelashes and I can see my lashes with or without mascara.

UPDATED FROM imagingboomer

Update June 2013

I have been using Latisse a little over two months now. I am at the stage where I apply every other day for maintenance. My lashes do not appear thicker but definitely much longer and with a natural curl. Each eye does have a different look (only to me) the lashes on one eye are very long and curled, the left eye hasn't kept up with my right eye. They (left) also are growing kind of haphazardly as many have mentioned. My left eye lashes were always less then my right eye, I will keep applying the product and hope they catch up with my right eye. I actually can forego mascara when running errands-my eyes don't disappear now without mascara. I've been wiping the extra product on my eyebrows which have all but disappeared with aging, parts have darkened, but where I really needed some growth doesn't appear to be any. I never did take photos because I felt I would notice the difference which I have - my friends have commented on my lashes. I am now just about ready to get more product, the one bottle lasted me just over two months. When I apply I still use one drop (placed in the cap) for both eyes and continue to use my thin eyeliner brush not the thick brushes that Latisse includes in the box. I need to think of what to use those brushes for, it seems a waste to toss them.
Final decision - It Works and I will continue to apply as a maintenance procedure.

Thanks for sharing.  Are you still using Latisse?  Did the left eyelashes ever catch up to the right?

Yes I still use Latisse and love it! My lashes have evened out - I was applying every other day to right side, but used Latisse on the left every night - that worked. Kind of like when you put those grass patches on your lawn :)

Ha ha!!!  Thanks for the update :)

How is the darkening under your eyelid looking? I just spent a ton to get rid of bags, definitely don't want to add dark circles (even a tad bit) back.

Alice, the only place that I had darkening was next to my top lashes. I never applied the product to my lower lashes, in fact, I believe the instructions state not to use on lower lashes. The product did add length to my lashes but I never got the thickness I wanted and I don't use anymore. I'm thinking that if the lashes weren't thick before they aren't going to get thick with product. I really didn't like the haphazard growth pattern I got. When I did use mascara my lashes looked weird.

Is there another product you would recommend beside Latisse that may work? Your lashes look great!

I got a generic form of latisse and have only been using it for 2 weeks and I can already see a difference, amazing! I have very pale facial hair and am really hoping my lashes will darken a bit :)

What generic product are you using?

Be prepared that your eyelids may darken, when I used the Latisse I could go without shadow or mascara. I'd like to know if your growth pattern gets haphazard and if you get thick lashes.

My lashes never got "thick" but they never were. My lashes grew long but the haphazard growth looked (in my opinion) weird and I have discontinued product. I know others who have beautiful thick lashes resulting from Latisse, that is the one result I was seeking but didn't get.

Image....what, if anything, happens when you discontinue use. No "regression"~ just back to original length? Think this stuff works by extending the life cycle of each hair so it stays longer before shedding. That would explain length and since more hairs hang around longer, also thickness. Did you all see the claims that the active ingred has some effect on fat around the eyeball. Using it for glaucoma has the same 1 drop dosage per eye (so double what cosmetic users apply) in the eye so maybe that fat-effect thing is a problem only for those actually inserting it in the eye.

forgot to add that the fat depletion is blamed on a hollowing effect on some users.
