I am so incredibly happy with my new lips! Dr. Shah was able to give me fuller, more symmetrical, and most importantly, natural looking lips. He used Juvederm Voluma to help me achieve what we are calling the "pillow look".
Given that I have a natural asymmetry of the upper lip, Dr. Shah strategically placed different amounts of filler to help me achieve a more balanced look. Overall, I believe less than half a syringe of Voluma was distributed between my upper and lower lips to achieve this look. I really could not be happier with the results! In terms of the amount injected, we went on the conservative side this time to achieve the most natural look. I think I will have him add just a bit more filler next time.
If you have not had lip filler before, I want to mention that it does hurt. However, the pain is not unbareable, and the results are well worth it! I would suggest asking for a topical numbing cream beforehand to help lessen the pain. For anyone considering lip fillers, I hope you find this review helpful!

My doctor told me that you would never want to use Voluma on the lips; it's used primarily as a long term deep tissue filler (i.e. to enhance cheekbones or a jawline). I mean, you're lips look fabulous so who knows!

Terrific, thank you for sharing! Can you post some pics too? Love to see your results and the "pillow look"!
Is this your first experience with lip fillers?
