37 Yr. Old Implants Removed with Fat Transfer to Breasts. Chicago, IL

I decided to tell my story on RealSelf because I enjoyed reading people's experience on their own journey. All the positive and negative feedback is very helpful especially for me as I'm extremely nervous.

So I'm 37. 5'5" tall and my current weight is 145. My bra size is 36B. I had Saline implants with 300cc put in me in 2003. When I got my implants, I was maybe 105 pounds. The implants were great when I got them but after two kids, breast feeding and weight gain they started giving me problems. I currently have one bigger breast than the other which is one of my main reasons of getting the Fat Transfer.

The doctor I chose is Dr. David Shifrin M.D. I visited four doctors around the Chicagoland area and thought Dr. Shifrin was the best fit for me. He explained the Lipo and Fat Transfer process in great detail and made me feel very comfortable. His staff is very nice as well. I liked that Dr. Shifin uses Power Assisted Straight Lipo. I've heard from other Dr's and read that this is a pretty good method to use for fat transfer.

I go for my Pre-op on January 20, 2016 and my surgery is scheduled fro February 11, 2016. I will try to be as informative as possible and post my pictures of before and after surgery.

I wanted to share a bit more information before I go into surgery. The Lipo is going to be removed from abdomen, lower back and outer-thighs which then will be cleaned and transferred to the breast. The Dr. stated he was going to try to inject as much fat as my body allows so I don't know as of yet how many cc's I will ultimately get. I guess I'm just hoping it's a good amount once the implants are removed.

I also didn't have to do the Brava cups before surgery since I have implants and there's space to inject the fat. My current weight is 143.

I will try to poste as soon as I can after surgery but I included a few more pictures of my "before" image.

First I have to say I give credit to the women who post their story a day or two after surgery. It was hard enough for me to get out of bed to use the bathroom. I could not get myself to type and post my story.
Well let me start with surgery. My surgery was scheduled at 1:45 but Dr. Shifrin was still with his previous patient so I didn't get in until almost 4. Surguery was about two hours. The staff at Same Day Surguery, River North were amazing. From checking-in to recovery, they were all accommodating and helpful. Dr. Shifrin came to mark my body and off I went into surgery...The fat was removed from my lower back, abdomen and lateral thighs. A total of 2.5 liters of fat was removed. First, my implants were removed, then a total of 330cc's of fat was injected into each breast. My implants had 300cc's in them.
It's been over a week since surgery and I have to say that I'm really happy with the results so far. If you can see in the pictures, my body was really swollen. The breast swelling has gone down quite a bit but I'm still very happy with the breast size. I hope they don't go down too much, but only time will tell. Hope these pictures help :)
