Binder isn't working with me...

Laidback27
6 days PO havent even yet took binder off. Trying to stay positive.
Back hurts being hunched walking. Buttocks as well from sitting on it not use to sitting down laying up. I would constantly be doing something. Feel useless! Any suggestions on how to lay? Or sit 1 week PO? Need a resolution!

The first week is always the roughest. Have you tried propping your legs up with a lot of pillows? You should also try walking every couple of hrs or so. Having this surgery is a long recovery process and it definitely tests our patience. I'm the same way too, always out and about doing something. Now I have to sit and wait it out. I'm still walking bent and I'll be 2 wks post on Monday. Have you tried showering? That should make you feel A LOT better too.

I haven't yet got the ok to shower, I do walk and prop the pillows up. I definitely need patience. Thanks for the advice it always helps having words of encouragement and positive vibes! I will continue pushing and keeping my head up. :D
Also, has it been times you felt like a sensation were it felt like burning from getting up due to incision? That's happening on my left side at times. I'm like I hope my stuff isn't opening. Staying positive

Yeah, just stay focus on the end goal. When your butts on the beach the a two piece!!...lol...yeah, I actually did feel the burning on occasion but just as long as you're not bleeding and you're getting up cautiously and gingerly. You shouldn't worry.

I'm 9 days in recovery from my procedure. I agree you need help the first week. I had one drain. It was removed on the 7th day. The trick is to get up walk around the house every 2 hrs. That helps you drain more. Once you have the drain out its easier to get dressed and you can shower. FYI you should be taking the binder off adjusting it. So it's on your lower abdominal area and thighs. My tip is the couch works better then the bed to sleep. Good luck!! Worst part is slouching over when walking

I'm already 2 months in so I've came to realization with all these things. Your fresh you'll be fine good luck.
