55 Years Old --- Now Look 45!

I was sick of looking in the mirror and seeing what appeared to be someone else. I did my homework. Read up on different surgeons in the Chicago area, and most importantly asked friends and colleagues who would recommend for plastic surgery. The first thing everyone said was that you should go to a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon...then after asking and listening to people for months one name came up over and over again...Dr. Peter Geldner. So... I made an appointment for a consultation. The first thing that impressed me was the staff that answered the phone. They were engaged and knowledgeable and I really felt they wanted to help me find the best time to come in for a consultation. I made my appointment and was so nervous about going. I wasn't sure what to expect. Much to my surprise, I received a lovely e-mail welcoming me to the practice and sending me patient intake forms so that I could complete them at my leisure. It was comforting thinking that I didn't have to sit in a waiting room of an office I had never been to for cosmetic surgery, which I felt was still sort of taboo...to fill out who knew how much paperwork.
The day of my consultation came, and so did my nerves....I almost didn't go! I am so glad that I did. I checked in at the front desk ,the woman, Anna, was wonderful. I felt as if she was truly happy to meet me. I was offered, coffee, tea or water which was nice and sat down to wait. I did wait a bit longer than expected, which was frustrating until I met Dr. Geldner....then I understood the wait. He asked me what bothered me about my appearance and spent almost 45 minutes discussing different possibilities to address the things about the appearance of my face and neck that troubled me. At know time did I feel rushed or as if I was being sold something. I felt like he had all the time in the world for me and my questions and concerns. What an amazing experience. It was then that the extra time waiting for the consultation made sense...I thought, he must treat everyone this way. He took me into his photo room, which was amazingly professional and took photos and again we discussed what he thought would address my concerns. I knew that this was the surgeon for me. Completely focused on my consultation, not in a hurry to get to the next person....and there was a lobby full! I me with his patient coordinator Marilyn, who was so lovely and helpful, she explained the pricing. At no time did I feel pressured to schedule right then and there...and I didn't schedule then. I wanted to think it through. I received a thank you note from Marilyn again with no pressure, no hard sell.
I want to 2 other plastic surgeons so I would feel that I did my homework....one was pushy and felt like a used car salesman and the other office tried to bully me into scheduling right then and there and kept on offering me lower and lower prices to schedule the surgery while I was there. It made me feel very uncomfortable and as if they were desperate.
I went home and immediately called Marilyn at Dr, Geldner's office and schedule my face lift.
The procedure went so well! There was really very little pain...some discomfort, but little else. Dr. Geldner's bedside manner was wonderful! His office staff and nurse treated me at each follow up visit like I was part of their extended family. It was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend Dr. Geldner to everyone!!!
