I remember the night of January 3rd 2015 like it was yesterday. I had too much to drink and the floor was wet. A bad combination that resulted in me slipping and falling head first on the sharp corner of a metallic sink. The impact caused a laceration wound right in my hairline. Eventually, the wound swelled up enough to cause permanent hair loss in the impact area, something known as "Traumatic Alopecia." [ See Photo #1: dotted line represents where my hairline used to be. See Photo #2: green dots represent rough illustration of lost hair follicles.] Unhappy with my now asymmetrical hairline and reduced hair density , I waited for the wound to heal [See Photo 3] and decided that the only permanent fix would be to undergo a hair transplant procedure. After consulting with many top hair transplant surgeons , I set my sights on Dr Turowski's practice . Dr Turowski was the obvious best choice for me after carefully evaluating each alternative. His credentials , years of experience , number of transplants done , patient results , seniority in the business and his pioneer outlook when it comes to utilizing the most modern and effective methods available in the field speak for themselves and contributed to giving me the necessary confidence to trust him and his staff to fix my mistake. Additionally, since my area of hair loss was small they offered me the best and latest in hair restoration technology for the lowest price: (Artas Robotic Hair Transplant for $3,000). Other top hair transplant surgeons I had consulted when I was still in the decision making phase wanted to charge me an extra $1,000. The procedure itself was very smooth and I felt pain only for a couple seconds when the doctor was injecting the anesthesia . Dr Turowski would ask about pain and would inject more anesthesia if I wished . Everyone involved during the procedure was caring and there to ensure that I was as comfortable as possible. Once the anesthesia took effect, the procedure was painless & I was able to rest and relax while they worked on me. When it was done, I was very happy with what I saw in the mirror. All 3 components of a successful hair transplant were taken care of: 1) Direction of grafts 2) Angle of grafts 3) Density : [ See Photo #4: (photo is from 1 day after surgery) The red line represents the middle of my forehead , the black arrows represent the growth direction of the grafts. They are in accordance with my natural hair direction and are therefore exactly what I wanted! The job is well done: The transplanted hair blends in perfectly and is indistinguishable from the existing hair. Also, the fact that the scar is now invisible is a testament of how tight the graft density is.] For that, I also thank Marta (Dr Turowski's main hair technician) for her machine- like precision , high level of patience and steady hands. All in all, I am very satisfied with the entire experience from beginning to end. The clinic has Its own parking lot which made it easy for me to drive there and quickly park. They were not picky on the payment method ( they didn't mind me splitting the payment between 2 credit cards). The clinic looks very clean and beautiful , the lady at the front desk is welcoming ,Cece ( the person in charge of finance & scheduling) was very friendly and she managed to squeeze me in for a procedure date that was most convenient to me with the time frame I had given her. Dr Turowski is skilled , patient , takes the time to listen and is always happy to see patients that drop by the clinic for post-op follow-up . He gladly answered my questions and I can tell that he cares for his patient's satisfaction / well being and the same is true for Marta as well. That being said , I give special thanks to Gregory Turowski and Marta Przychocka for restoring my hairline to the way it was before I cracked my head open. I will make Dr Turowski and his staff my go-to people for all of my cosmetic reconstructive needs if the need ever arises.
