I left the waiting area about 20min after I woke up with a cookie to the mouth and a soda on the side lol. I felt real good by day 4/5 I was doing most things with almost no discomfort in the abs. But I felt 100 yesterday and even better today. I am 11 days post-op and yesterday I decided I didn't need to be taking the Hydrocodone anymore. I feel as good as gold. I'm a fast walker though and due to the inflammation in the pubic region-I am unable to power walk my way through anything lol. 2 weeks recovery is in my opinion sufficient time. I however asked that my Dr. Note indicate that I would be able to return to work after the 16th lol- had the letter head omitted and everythang! Just trying to fit in a lil vacay haha

Vacay is always good, lol. I have four kids so I'm kinda worried about being able to care for them once my hubs go back to work!

As long as your hubby is around for the first 2 days I think you'll be good, but everybody heals differently. How old are your babies? the only thing I suggest is try to be on your feet throughout the day-it's a pain having to get up from bed. Maybe your eldest can do the bending for you-you won't be able to bend/reach. Make sure to prepare meals, since hubby won't be around, have plenty of bottled water around. Do not take your medical bands off if someone's not around-because you may get light headed. Also the meds make you sleepy-see if someone can stop by to keep you company for a while :)

I look really good and my waist is snatched! I'm in so much pain though. How did u sleep. I'm on my sides now, the tummy is so uncomfortable?

I bet!!! I never slept on my sides or back, I tried a couple of days ago but I feel weird laying on my new ass and hips haha. Strictly abs. It only hurt getting up, at least that was my issue.

Getting up is murder! But I keep having to tinkle. I guess due to all of the fluid.

lol I know that's right! I must've gotten up at least 15-20 times on my first day and you will continue throughout the whole night! look at the bright side the more you move the better, you should try sleeping on your tummy though, help compress the midsection and the pubic region.

Ok, I will try to lay on the tummy once I get up again. Just laid back down, I walked around in the house for about an hour and feel good while standing.

Wow good for you! first day I laid in bed all day except for bathroom breaks and drainage. OMG I stood up while I drained for about 2-3hrs lol. Day 2 is kinda hell too you don't know if it's gonna be better or worse. Just take that hydrocodone girl lol

Girl I'm still swollen lol, the lower back is taking forever-it feels numb and I feel like the swelling in my abs/pubic area comes and goes by day lol.

Yeah, Im sure that it will take some time to get the feeling back. My husband showered me and my skin in the tummy and back area feels really weird and numb. I guess it will take a couple of months to completely feel the sensation in the lipoed areas.

I just saw Dr. Shifrin, and did ask him about the back swelling/numbness-like you said it's just a matter of time. I also asked hip about the tightness in my waist area of which he advised I do a 2 finger massage-which I have. Also asked about the knots in my arms-one of wich I accidentally snapped when I was massaging myself the other day, Dr said Good!!! lol I broke the tissue-but that hurt :( disappeared instantly though, wish the tightness on my waist would too.

Went to my post op today and talked about some of the same issues. My waist is extremely tight as well and especially if I don't take the pain meds. Dr shifirin is soooo sweet. I'm happy that I went with him. Such a doll :)

I have been sleep most of the day. Therefore I'm up for no good reason now :) I will definitely post more pics about a week out. Hope this helps you with deciding. You will love Dr Shifirin, such a nice guy

Dr Jimmerson has recently went up on prices and charges extra to add hips. I had consult with him and even paid money for the second consult. But I was afraid to have the surgery away from home!

Girl, that is funny. Did you have your downtown as well or at one of his other locations. I was the 7am patient. I can't believe you want to go through all of the recovery again. I will never do it again. And besides you look fine from your pics. Girl go hit the gym and do some squats. Lol.
