I could not have made it without my recliner and lots of pillows!!! Also pre set alarms for meds so you don't skip pills. Have a non-drip water bottle so you don't have to sit up to drink or reach for your cup. Keeping up your fluids is key and having easy and lazy access to it was very helpful for me. I watched ALOT of Netflix! I also read two books. Have lots of bolthouse farms drinks readily available. I favour the protein drinks. Pre cook lots of lean protein BC you will need lots of extra protein in order for your muscles to repair themselves. I also used a toilet riser. I am 12 days post op and the only pain I have now is in my tummy muscles when I cough. Make sure you relax. 7 days post op I felt pretty good and pushed it too hard and that put me out for like 3 days and I'm pretty sure that gave me my seroma. Honestly it wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. It was no walk in the park but follow the PS's orders and you will be fine!
Thanks! I'm so scared of the pain. Have you thought of anything that you wish you would have had or needed the first few days? Everyone said the pain is soo bad, it just gives me anxiety, I'm hoping to sleep through most of it, but the way everyone sounds, I'm going to be miserable, but it will be worth it..
I had a friend grab me a back scratcher and a grabbing thing to pick things up off the floor. Honestly I really did not find it that painful. I had a fantastic doctor who has been doing this for 18 years and I swear by the protein intake and I drink like 4 litres of water a day. The most pain for me came from my lower back. Not standing up straight and all the sitting puts a strain on it. I sat on a neck pillow open to the back from the beginning and I'm really glad I did.
Thank you so much! You brought my anxiety down a little
I totally understand. I was freaking out. I thought I was going to hyper ventilate. I was thinking it was going to be excrutiating and it hurt but more like sore tenderness. I took percoset every 4 hours (1.5 pills) and after about 5 days I switched to Tylenol 3. I stopped taking anything a few days ago BC I realized I didn't feel anything when I forgot to take my meds. I got to take a shower after my one week but was only allowed 5 min. I blow dryed my sutures but some water still seeped under my surgical tape and caused some separation and leakage which turned into a seroma from laying on that side. So be VERY careful about keeping it dry. I have 6 children and it was hard to listen to the Dr and rest but I listened and I think that's why my recovery is going well. I just have to sponge bath still and where a pad where the leakage is. I also spent time daily flicking the clots in my drains to keep them moving.
Yea, I'm getting very anxious today, ughhh! I am going to borrow a recliner today from my mother in law, and do everything you said. Thanks so much for your help, I really appreciate it
No problem. Feel free to private message me and keep in touch through the healing process.you are going to be so relieved and feel so amazing in a few short weeks.
Oooh, how exciting! Here's a list of pre- and post-op tips for you. I'll be thinking of you Tuesday!

Just dropping by to wish you well! Tomorrow's your big day and I know you will be just fine!!
You just saying that means a lot. I'm wide awake and I have to leave my house at 5 a.m. I'm sooooo nervous. I will let you know how it goes when I'm able to function
;)
Well girls I'm done!!!! I'm home and I'm in my recliner. my Surgery ended up being from 8:30-1pm. Because of the pain medicine n the anesthesia, I haven't really felt anything
Wow! You're coherent enough to post. I don't foresee this for myself. Lol. Happy healing! You are awesome!
Thanks, no pain today!! I'm so scared of tomorrow, I did throw up around 8:30 this evening but Was all soda n surprisingly it was not painful, of only it could keep going like this
OK well today I am still feeling good. I would definitely suggest breaking the TT & breast augmentation and lift into 2 separate surgeries. I had the lipo 3 months ago because Dr Khalifeh likes to break them up and I see why. With the lipo I got sick the first day and was so scared to get sick again I messed my pain med schedule up, do NOT do that. I was in the worst pain EVER! I felt like someone ran me over. This time I was prepared! Not sure if this is how you spell it but he prescribed me Zofran for nausea and yes I threw up once but I continued my meds, no skipping. He prescribed me 5mg oxycodone n I just take 2 at a time. Girls I was so scared and its not bad. I am only one day post op so we will see how it goes, but this is so much easier than the lipo, I'm sure because of the meds, so make sure you do not skip. I take mine every 4hrs and we set the phone alarms at night time to be safe. I will keep you guys posted.
