I was born with a very cute birth mark on my right cheek that I used to be quite fond of up until the last 8 years or so. I actually used to pencil it in sometimes to make it more dramatic. As I grew older, my birth mark became not as cute. It started to protrude more and starting losing its color. I know call it a birth mole and was not going to wait for hair to start growing out of it so I decided to get it removed. That said, included in the price was a couple of other little things on my face that Dr. Spiegel removed as well. Also, it was an hour and a half drive from my house to Dr. Spiegel's office, he did the procedure the same day as the consultation so I would not have to drive back there again. I really appreciated that. I had a bandaid on my forehead where I had a spot lasers and a small bandage on the mole that was surgically removed along with dissolving stitches. I was told to let them fall off on their own so that's what I did. The bandaid on my forehead fell off a few days ago and the small bandage where the stitches were just fell off this morning. It looks great! I apologize for the shine in the picture, but I have neosporin and scar cream on it.

Thank you for your post! How long did the procedure take?

I would say about an hour. I had three separate areas treated so he numbed the areas locally, waited about 30 minutes to make sure everything was numb. Then the actual procedures took about 30 minutes at the most

Probably more like 20 minutes

Did the doctor mention the size of your mole? I have one in the same place, and thought it was cute, until I realized how big it was getting and that if I didn't do anything about it, it would take over my whole cheek! I had a surgeon say he doesn't recommend this because of the scarring (the bigger it is, the bigger the scar.) Do you notice much of a scar? Can you easily cover it with makeup?

The scar is pretty much invisible. EASILY covered with makeup. I don't know how big it was, I'll find a picture where you can see my whole face and that should help put it in perspective for you
