WORTH IT$9,800
Searching: a friend of mine helped me to find that place and the doctor. I do know Korean but very basic, so it was mainly her, who searched local forums for legit reviews.
Consultation: we contacted several different hospitals and Regen was one of them. They quoted me approximate costs sating that each case is always individual and if I want to know precise cost, I’d need to come for f2f consultation. Few months after I came to Seoul to visit them. Everything went quite smooth. The only thing that annoyed a lot was waiting. Since I was a bit late for my consultation with Dr.Oh he went for a surgery and I had to wait for him. But that was solely my fault, so no complains.
Since, I made my mind towards Regen before coming to Seoul, I booked my surgery day in advance and made a 10% deposit for which also got a 20% discount. After my consultation with Dr.Oh I was given final price. Although, it was quite OK I wanted to lower it a bit more and asked some additional discount options. They offered to write a review about my experience and allow them to use my photos in exchange for additional 10% off, so the total discount was 30% and believe me it was really good deal for me! So, the total I paid was around $9.8k
Surgery: the surgery was scheduled the next day, so I didn’t waste my time. I was the first in Dr.Oh’s list that day. Upon my arrival we completed all paper work and I started to prepare for the surgery. Since the surgery was supposed to be under general anesthesia, I had to fast before the surgery. So, I had no food, no water for 10hrs! We started in time and for me it was like a minute… In one second I closed my eyes and opened them again but when I took a look at time more than 4 hrs flew already.
Btw, I proceeded 2 surgeries simultaneously – corrective rhinoplasty with cheekbone reduction. If I proceeded only rhino, I could leave the hospital the same day but since I also proceeded bone-related surgery, I was hospitalized for 1 night. That first night in the hospital was the worst.
First of all, I felt terrible after anesthesia shot. Will tell you honestly, I was asked not to smoke few days before the surgery but I was too nervous, so had few cigarettes a day before. Guess, that was the biggest mistake. My head was aching a lot and whenever I opened my eyes I felt dizzy and wanted to vomit. Ugh… Hopefully, it was the worst! The next day I felt way better and was discharged.
Recovery: all in all, I spent in Seoul about 3 weeks. It was quite enough for initial recovery. few more months after my surgery I also had to follow a special diet. In general, everything went smoothly enough. I wasn’t allowed to smoke for a month after my surgery but of course couldn’t do it and luckily, had no complications.
Result: I’m satisfied with how the surgery came out. Perhaps someone would find before face shape quite normal, but believe me, it wasn’t. I’m skinny and don’t have cheeks at all, wide cheekbone made me look very weird + that wide nose. I don’t really care what people say about my decision, the only thing I’m confident about – they definitely think that now I look way better and that was my goal.
