My First Ever Plastic Surgery Experience, Wasting Time Bc of COVID19 but It Worth It!

Hey everyone! I’ve seen lot of people sharing their stories and experience, so I decided maybe it’s time for me to post my review too. I noticed that most people have more than 1 surgeries at different times, so for me it was first and last experience, not because it was painful or whatever, but because I could get the result I wanted from the very beginning. The surgeon who performed my operations was from South Korea. Well, actually before choosing him I made very deep research, had a list of doctors whom I wanted to visit and did meet them all. The reason why I chose my doctor was because he was the only one who mentioned about the location of my nerves and he was the one who said that the surgery won’t give me the result I was looking for. His honesty and sincerity made me to end up with him. So, back to my issue – I had very wide midface and very noticeable asymmetry. Since my nerve line was too low I asked to fix as much as it was possible and safe. Everything went quite smooth. I don’t remember anything from the surgery itself as I was under general anesthesia. The pain after was minimal or maybe I still was under drugs. The stay in was 1 night, the next morning when I was checked by my doctor I was discharged. The first few days swelling was wild and each day became worse and worse, hopefully felt no pain. I tried to keep moving most part of a day as was told that would help to get rid of swelling faster. By the end of first week swelling started to go down, but I had to remove a part of my stitches, so after that swelling became wild again. All stitches were removed in 2 weeks and only after that swelling finally became to fade away little by little. It’s been only a month and I’m still a little swollen but I do feel great. I was told that healing and recovery can take up to 1 year, so I can’t wait to see the result. Btw, right after the surgery my chin was numb and I was afraid that had a nerve damage, but by week 3 I started to feel some tingling and now I can feel that sensitivity is restoring.
p.s. if you are planning to get a surgery in South Korea in the nearest future, please keep in mind that there are some mandatory self-quarantine requirements once you enter the country. It took me 2 weeks. I couldn’t even go out to the nearest 7/11, so keep in mind that you’ll waste at least 2 weeks before you can visit any plastic surgery place.
