Mid-Face Lift Caused Severe Jaw Pain
Had mid-face in 2006 with disastrous results, cannot believe they are still performing this procedure, it ruins lives, it is the worst. To the ladies who have had the mid-face this is how I have aged: My cheeks dropped considerably, they look fairly normal for an aging woman. Unfortunately, because cheeks were pulled way too high, when they dropped so did my mouth. It is lower than it was and looks a little strange, however, I look much better than after this catastrophic surgery, I am now 13 years older and still prefer how I look now to then! The mid-face lift is MAJOR surgery with a recovery time of at least 1 year, not 2 weeks. You will not looked “rested” you will most definitely not look “younger”, my experience was that I looked much older, definitely “harder” and distorted. Another side effect of this surgery are jaw problems. My jaw stuck on one side when attempting to open my mouth, it was very painful, and caused problems with my bite. The unnatural pulling up of the face affects everything, not just the cheeks, my eyes, nose, cheeks, jaw, neckline and mouth were all affected to my detriment, aging is also definitely accelerated as you age “surgically” not naturally. Anyone, considering this surgery, run away, run as fast as you can, your life depends on it.
