Vascular Occlusion

I have been going to Connie for over 10 years. I never imagined I would be writing something like this. As most of you probably know Connie retired a while back. So, I hesitantly switched to going to her daughter Morgann for my fillers. I am well aware of all the risks of fillers but didn’t understand Radiesse is the only filler that cannot be reversed. What I wasn’t aware of is that my injector might not be aware of all the risks and may not be telling me the right things to do in an emergency situation. A few months ago I received Radiesse which she injected in my blood vessels stopping blood flow to my face jaw and roof of my mouth. Immediately afterwards I was in extreme pain. When I kept checking in with Morgan she didn’t seem concerned so I delayed seeking the medical help that I now know was necessary at the time. In fact she told me to do things such as ice which should never be done in the instance of an occlusion. Several months later I am lucky to be alive. I am lucky to have what eyesight I have left, but I am still in extreme pain daily as dead tissue is trying to regenerate. I will probably end up loosing at least my back two molars and we are waiting to see how much bone I will loose. If it wasn’t for my family that made me go to the ER even when my injector didn’t think it was necessary I don’t think I would be alive today. ER took it very seriously putting me on IV antibiotics and getting me in touch with several different doctors to deal with this. I was in hyperbarics for a month. If you want to get fillers go to someone who’s gonna take your reaction seriously and knows how to proceed forward in a way that will cause the least amount of health issues and that actually cares about their patients. Also since this happened every dermatologist or injector I’ve talk to doesn’t use Radiesse because it’s to dangerous and doesn’t have a reversal agent. I’d also like to add that I requested my records from Morgann and she altered the records adding things that she never said that were lies! Pretty sad for someone that has a prayer room at their office. I think the thing that amazed me the most was Morgann’s lack of concern. Her mother, Connie, did meet with me on the 5th day and did seem genuinely concerned. However after a few days she seemed to be blowing me off too. I was getting texts like,”it sounds like you have a good team.” And “we aren’t part of your team” then the communication stopped. They were the TEAM! They started my need for a TEAM! I wouldn’t have needed a TEAM if it wasn’t for Morgann’s huge mistake. Then they stopped communicating! WOW You would think they would have wanted to know what happened to their patient but instead they blew me off and ignored the entire situation.
