2.5years post op

Just looked back - thought I'd updated sooner, but so much happier!
A couple of issues with rippling lying down but hoping to address them with my Dr. Haven't had much else going on. Overall, I'm certainly much happier with their appearance.

Evening of Day 7-replacing gauze, applying bacitracin

Day 8-Post op appointment, tape removal, concerns, and massage.

I haven't written much in a few days, so I'll summarize here by saying that my pain is much less severe. For two days I have gone without pain medications, and it's been pretty manageable. However, there is a constant, burning, stinging sensation around the incisions and bottom of the implant. I mentioned this to my doctor who responded that this was normal as nerves repair themselves, or reawaken, or something along the lines of that--I can't remember exactly what he said. They removed my steri-strips this morning, which wss more painful than I'd anticipated, and snipped/pulled a few jutting stiches around my areolas. There was some oozing/bleeding, which concerned me, but the nurses and my surgeon assured me that everything looks as it should and advised me to apply bacitracin to my incisions and regularly change out the pads. I'm concerned specifically about the incisions directly beneath my left areola which seems to be wider and bleeding more than I thought a scar should be at the one week mark. Also, my right areola seems to be slightly larger and less circular. I don't know of the shape will change as the incisions heal, but I hope it does. The right breast seems to be dropping and softening more quickly than the left. They both feel hard after being out and about for the day, and I fear that by doing basic housework might be oxerextending myself at this point. I will try to approach these things more carefully.
My surgeon recommended a pretty rigorous massage technique, which really frightened me as I feel in my mind that my incisions are so sensitive and may pop apart at any moment. He assured me that this was not the case. He said that to get the best results I should massage forcefully and often, which will help them to soften and fall nicely into place. This still really scares me, but I'm doing It!
Also--I have some spider veins developing on my left breast, the one that tends to feel more swollen. Grrr. Hopefully they will go away and not grow.

I've just had my procedure today, but the experience itself exceeded my expectations. The facility is happy and bright--even the operating room! Everyone in the office is so friendly. I will update my review once I'm further along with the healing process. However, in my surgical bra and all the padding, they still seem to be a great size and look symmetrical at this point. I am very excited to see how things progress as I heal.
