Hey guys, just wanted to share an update with you all. I am so thrilled with the results so far, and fall more in love with my new nose every day. The shape and size is perfect, I still have some scarring and one of my nostrils is smaller than the other but Dr Shahidi believes this is swelling. My breathing is great and I am now douching my nose morning and night, with some gunk and stitches still coming out when I do so.

If you are considering a rhino and have Dr Shahidi in mind..GO FOR IT! Do not hesitate, he truly is the best! If I had to do it all over again there is no doubt that I would go to him. He has given me everything that I wanted and more with my new nose.

Here are some photos of my progress :) NOTE: the side profile photos were taken quickly before a night out, one side appears to be bigger but it's not it's the distance of the camera from my face.

Thanks so much for continuing to post - the outcome is phenomenal!
I'm 8 weeks away form my op and I'm starting to get cold feet!! I'm just nervous that I might not be happy with the outcomes and then I'll regret it forever. But seeing your updates gives me confidence that I've picked the right Dr and I'm in safe hands :)

Hi ladies ,I have had a consultation with Dr Shahidi and seriously considering rhinoplasty surgery. Could I please ask you ,when you had he initial consultation and had the computer image photo of your nose altered did he recommend a up turned tip ? Did you choose this option ? I am a bit hesitant as I don't want to have a piggy looking nose . Thought I'll ask as I really like your end result , looks amazing . Thanks so much.

Hi there,
when we had our consult - yes he did make the nose quite upturned and a little scooped. I wasn't sure that I was happy with it. That is definitely his preferred style as he believes it makes the face more "feminine". However I altered mine afterwards to be more straight - and the girls re-did my image after checking with Dr Shahidi that the straight style would be more achievable.
I was really afraid of the piggy look too but actually although most of his noses look very upturned from the side, they look normal (and not piggy) from the front. I have booked my surgery for July - so nervous!! but the more people I tell and talk to, the more comfortable I am feeling about the decision.

Mine is slightly upturned from the side but certainly not front on. Just be prepared that your nose will look super piggy when everything comes off and even more so for the next couple of weeks but I promise you it will drop

Thank you so much for the advice ! I think I might go with a less up turned tip like you . Good luck with the surgery !!

Thanks for the warning ! As long as the font doesn't look piggy in the end I'll be happy . I wish my nose will turn out like yours

Hi guys! Sorry I've been MIA it's been a crazy time. So I'm just under 4 weeks post op, 2 weeks post cast removal and all that I can say is that I AM SO HAPPY! Words cannot describe how I feel about the results, I can't stop looking at my nose in every reflection I pass. There's still a lot of swelling, in particular the week after my cast removal it was very fat and piggy. The swelling has calmed down since and I can't wait to see how it continues to look over the coming months. I can now breath out of my nose which is amazing, one of the biggest things I struggled with was not being able to breath out of my nose. Here are some photos of how my nose has looked over the last 2 weeks :)

Oh my gosh I am so excited for you!! And July is just going to fly by. I must admit, it took me about a week to get used to my new face, I did not think it would be as different as what is ended up being. And it still takes a minute for people who know me to get used to it, but not in a bad way just in a different way if that makes sense? Does it scare me, absolutely not! I love love love my new nose and I think it compliments my face far more than what it did before. I used to get fillers in my lips, I don't think I need them anymore because my lips look bigger. My eyes look bigger, especially with mascara and makeup. Just think that in this case different means better!!! Good luck [RS bleep]

Thanks for that. yes your eyes do look bigger - and you def don't need fillers anymore! You look gorgeous. How long before you could go back to work?

I took 3 weeks off, I could have gone back after 2 but I still had bruising around my eyes. I've been very open with the people at my work so it wouldn't have mattered but if I was anywhere else I probably couldn't go back without being asked questions at 2 weeks.. hope that helps!!

So I've just realised I never posted any before photos of my nose! So here are some, you can see that my nose used to be very curved and would curve down more when I smiled. Nose was also quite narrow at the top and thick at the bottom.
