I had spoken to several people about a fix for my neck/jawline. Told kybella would require several treatments and would not do the trick. Same with cool sculpting. Definitely needed the fat removal that light but would give but I already knew I would be dealing with loose skin. So a doctor I trust implicitly said I was almost a perfect candidate for thermitight.
It is expensive, but if I get the anticipated result it will be worth it. It was also more involved than I expected. I took a Valium one hour before the procedure. He used a local and worked from three entry points; One behind each year and one under the tip of my chin. It took almost a full hour; not painful; not necessarily uncomfortable, but it was weird feeling. Left in the neck wrap (very uncomfortable in my opinion). Very challenging to keep on like you should. Very swollen and noticeable bruising; more of each than I expected. They insert liquid and then emulsify the fat, so The heaviness is very jiggly. Before the procedure it was like firm fat.
Anyway, I'm 4 days out and all I can say is be prepared; there is no way to play it off like you didn't have this procedure done. I am extremely optimistic but I was not prepared for what looks like will be weeks of the swelling. I will be wearing scarves for a week or two unless something dramatic happens. Innoway I'm glad I did not know what to fully expect because I would have made an excuse that it was not good timing. At least this way I am already on my way to what I hope is a fantastic new jawline

I had a thermi tight on my neck and was unprepared and uninformed for the swelling and soreness that has lasted now for a month. I am praying that it will ultimately heal. Though I have discomfort, I have not had to take any pain medication. I do not know what else I can do to speed my healing process. Any suggestions? I was told to massage it. I have jumped on the trampoline . Though my neck is swollen to me, friends who I have not told do not appear to notice it.

So I'll be honest. I really believed "minimal downtime" meant quick results. That has not been my experience. As you can see I had (still have) quite a bit of fullness in my neck. I really thought I was a lipo candidate but I knew my skin would be left sagging. This is why Dr. smith said thermitight. I trust him implicitly BUT he said the only thing I can do to see results is to be patient. The fat was very jiggly post-procedure and now it is hard. I have not taken a single ibuprofen for any reason, chewed up a bottle of arnica tablets and massage my neck several times a day. Change is happening but not fast enough! I suppose the upside is if I had known it would heal this slowly, I may never have pulled the trigger. I need to look at it as a month into a beautiful result. Just hard to look at other before and afters and after a month they look amazing. I still look like Jabba the Hut in the mirror but no friends at all have noticed anything different. What did your surgeon tell you about when to expect results?

I am six weeks from my thermitight. I am still sore, numb and swollen. But it is getting better. Doctor tells me that I am taking longer than most to heal but assures me that I will heal. There is no improvement in my neck so far. There is nothing I can do but massage my neck and be patient. I spoke to a woman who had the procedure and she had swelling for just a few days. I was not informed that would be uncomfortable for so long. But thankfully I am not in pain.

Hi, are the photos above right after or? Can you update us and post current pics? I hope it's getting better every day. I want to have this done too but i'm a chicken so doing as much research as i can. I don't think people that don't have this problem understand just how embarrassing it is and how it affects one's self esteem. I'm 55 thin, was fairly nice looking and now my face is sliding down my neck. lol but it's really not funny. have crows feet and all the rest that comes with aging but the only thing that really embarrasses me is the jowly jaw line. Good luck!

I had thermitight 2 years ago. I posted post treatment pics on here over a year ago. Greatly disappointed. Very expensive mistake. Neck looked better before treatment. Will now need surgery to correct damage from thermitight.

I had thermitight about 2 years also and it has been a disaster. In the beginning in hospital from the damage.

J Plasma with smart lipo might work - otherwise, you'd need a neck lift.

I'm discouraged and wishing I had my $5000 back. There is certainly mild improvement but I still don't think I have a hint of a jaw line. People say it takes 6 to 9 months to see the full result, and I am only at three, but it seems incredible to think I will get the desired result. I really trust this doctor and have been very pleased with the other services he has provided. I will try to be patient but I can't help to think I would have been happier doing Lipo. I would've had a near immediate result and spent half of the money.

Sorry, my experience is that thermitight is a scam. After two my results are horrible. Surgery is my only option if I want to correct the mess created by thermitight.
