Two years post.. and still in love with my results!

WORTH IT$15,000
Haven't been on in awhile, just thought I'd give an update. It's been 2 years since my surgery and I'm still in love with my tummy! I went thru some weight gain and loss.. my belly never got bigger, but it did get tighter and some days it would poke out a tiny bit... but as soon as I dropped the weight I went right back to my cute little flat tummy. My tummy tuck was probably one of the best decisions I ever made. Only advice I have is to make sure you research your Doctor thoroughly! Check reviews, pics, everything! My Doctor was absolutely amazing... the best of the best! But others I have seen that went to other Doctors do not look anywhere close to what I look like. They had so many complications and after a few years they are right back to where they started. Lots of money wasted. So glad I did my research!

So today I had a scar revision..
MsMAlexSeptember 28, 2018
So today I had a scar revision. It was interesting. But before I get into all that I want to start off by saying that this was in no way my Surgeons fault! I developed a hypertrophic scar.. which is basically like an overgrowth of scar tissue.. it's one of those things that just happens sometimes. My scar/incision started out beautiful, but over time I noticed some changes. I went to see My Surgeon and he knew exactly what to do. So a month later, here I am. So this morning I got to the office. They cleaned me all up, drew on me a little bit, and started injecting a local anesthetic. That was probably the worst part. I was pretty uncomfortable, but everything got easier after that. So the Doctor literally took a scalpel and cut about 7 inches of my old scar out. Then he stitched me back up and I was done. All of this was done in the Office while I was totally awake. My anxiety didn't cooperate as much as I would have liked, but that's just me. I haven't needed any pain meds and I'm not really uncomfortable. I've just been taking it easy and laying down since I got home. Not sure what to expect during the recovery, but I will update a little later. I just wanted to post incase anyone else was concerned about the way their scar looked or needed a revision. I haven't really read much info about it on here. I'm posting a before pic and will post an after when I heal a little more.

Showing off in the Dominican Republic!! Two months post op.
MsMAlexApril 8, 2018
Just got back from a week in the Dominican Republic! It felt so good to put on a swimsuit and not have to be self conscious about how I look! I am so happy that I made the choice to have this surgery... I haven't felt this good about myself since I was a teenager. All the pain and hassle of recovery was well worth it! My Doctor is a God send!
