I highly recommend Dr. Smith at Charlotte Plastic...
WORTH IT$1,400
I highly recommend Dr. Smith at Charlotte Plastic Surgery! About four years ago, I decided to try filler for my sagging flat cheeks that were once upon a time very full and youthful. They just seemed to completely deflate once I turned 40. Fortunately, I happened to get booked with Dr. Smith at Charlotte Plastic Surgery. He was so kind and thorough in educating me on all of the different types of facial fillers and what would be best for me. The greatest thing was that he completely understood why I was unhappy and immediately went into "we can fix it" mode. He recommended Sculptra for its longevity and ability to make my face full again. I did two rounds the first time I had it done and I loved it!!! After the first round I remember thinking "wow...he fixed my profile!!" After the second round I loved it even more. It lasted for a good two and a half years. It gave me such a huge boost in self confidence. Nobody noticed except to say I looked great/rested.
In the interim Dr. Smith used juvederm ultra plus for a quick fix before I had to go to a wedding, which got me by until a week ago when I had Sculptra redone. I am a hairdresser and have had many clients and coworkers tell me they've been unhappy with their results from fillers they've gotten elsewhere in Charlotte NC. They've tried sculptra and they are not seeing results like mine. I'm so thrilled that I happened to get booked with Dr. Smith. I can't possibly speak any more highly of Dr. Smith and the kind staff at Charlotte Plastic Surgery. I implore everyone looking for a plastic surgeon in Charlotte to please try Dr. Smith at the fabulous Charlotte Plastic Surgery!

Too soon!
Unfortunately it's a little too premature to post my pics as sculptra takes several weeks to work its magic. My before pics are so pitiful! I will get them from Dr. Smith when I go back in four weeks for my second round.
I got one vial, half in one cheek and half in the other. The injections were under my chin behind my mini jowls. It bruised a bit this time which was my fault because I took 800mg of advil for a headache an hour before my injections. Last time I had almost zero bruising.
I won't lie, these injections hurt quite a bit since they are injected deeper into the skin. The results are so worth it though. And it lasts! Pictures to come in a few weeks!

How long do the injections take? Sorry to hear they were painful - ouch! But glad you are happy with your soon-to-be-unveiled results! Can't wait to see pics - keep us posted!

injection time
I would say it look about 10-15 minutes overall for both the lidocaine injections and the following sculptra injections. I should note that I took the ibuprofen for the headache before going in knowing I was going to bruise from it. I had virtually NONE the two times I had it injected last. Oh well! It's gone now!
Thanks for posting your review! Love to see your results, can you post some pics too?
What was your procedure like? Did you have one injection per cheek or multiple? Did you have any pain or swelling?
Keep us posted on how you're doing and please post some pics so we can see how great you look!
