Hey readers. I looked into some treatments for my acne scars, that I have had since high school, this year. I had to grow a beard to hide some of the scars as I felt really bad about them and did everything I could to home remedy (lemon juice/aloe vera) them. That was not enough and only got me so far. When I went for my consultation I had originally planned to get subcision after reading about how it was not as risky as some of the lasers and the fact that it seemed to work good. The doctor recommended I get either Infini or TCA cross for my mostly icepick, some boxcar scarring.

I was hesitant to do either treatment at first but I really had no other option. These scars had been bothering me and my well being for too long. I read up on Infini and decided it was the safest option. I had my first treatment at the end of May, and at the time had purchased some Lifeline night recovery serum for post procedure.

Let me tell you, I am tough and usually tolerable to pain, but that first treatment hurt because of the ineffective numbing cream they used (later they switched to something more effective). After I left I put ice packs on my face and went home. Very pleased with my first treatment and I was able to go out on the town that night. Also my face looked like it did pre acne days before the minor swelling subsided.

Over the course of the next month I took good care of my face, drank lots of water, was liberal with sunscreen, and used that cream I mentioned before I scheduled my second appt. in July. At this time my scars looked roughly 20-30% better (which to me is a huge difference). The second treatment went much more smoothly as they had acquired a new type of numbing cream and I could barely even feel the needles. This treatment must have been more invasive as my face was red for an extra day (2 days total)

Two treatments was all I needed for my cheeks and I think it is 40% better than when I started. My temple may need another one but only because it wasn't really focused on during the first treatment. Either way this is a cost effective and safe treatment for mild to a little more than mild acne scars. My face looks so good again I can finally start shaving again. If they have the proper numbing cream then definitely go for it, if they don't then be prepared for pain and you might should look into another location to get the procedure done.
