4 Months Scar Comparison

WORTH IT$9,000
Wow, can't believe it's been 4 months already! I have had the most uneventful recovery. I am currently trying different scar treatments. My latest is Plato's Dark Scar Corrector and the Scar Serum twice a day. I have noticed much improvement in the scar colors and flattening. The pics just don't do justice. I've used Scaraway tape, Embrace (which made my scars very red and inflamed), Biocorneum (very little improvement) and Plato's which seems to be the best for me so far.
On a side note, I still get some swelling but just put on one of my abdominal binders and wear at night or sometimes I will wear for a few hours while at work. I like the binders because they are easy on easy off unlike compression garments.
Happy healing y'all!!!

I bought it online. If you search platosrx, you should be able to find it. I bought the package with both the color corrector and scar serum and just ordered another tube of the serum. It doesn't seem like there is a lot in the serum tube. I didn't want to run out. I use it twice a day, color corrector first then the serum. Hope that helps.

It does and you've definitely seen an improvement?

I have and my guy friend was amazed at how well they look. I have spots that have no scar showing at all. Everybody heals differently. I figure $62 spent, if it works great, if it doesn't then I will continue my quest for the best treatment out there. I spent way more than that on the silicone tape and biocorneum. It's really hard to get a good picture using an iPad or iPhone. I do not own a camera.

Just comparing scars from 21 Days Post op to 3 months Post op. I also wanted to share I still get some swelling up high and sometimes down south. I purchased a 6" rib compression binder through Amazon for $6.99 and I am happy I made that purchase (see photo). Happy healing...

Scar Therapy Review

User Avatar

Ok so I tried Embrace but had to remove them within 4-5 hours of placement. They seemed to make my scars inflamed and very painful. I was using ScarAway and they seem to be the best for me. I am also using Mederma and massage with Palmer's Cocoa Butter with Vitamin E skin therapy oil. Jury is still out on any kind of therapy but if one of you lovely rs friends have used something that really helped, PLEASE SHARE! My recovery has been uneventful with some swelling. I no longer need compression binders but if I swell I just do double compression and the swelling goes down. I started tanning but I must keep scars covered per my PS (I might add he wasn't happy about me tanning yet but agreed to it) so I will just have white lines. Happy healing y'all!!
