Hello All,
I recently underwent the Silhouette Threading procedure with Dr. Buford in Centennial, CO. I want to share my experience. As for the procedure, there are foundation threads placed towards the top of your cheek. Then, to lift the chin, and jowls, threads are inserted lower on the face, and then pulled up, and tacked to, a foundation thread. The anesthetic used to numb your cheeks is the worst part of the procedure, and simply feels similar to filler injections. Once you begin to feel uncomfortable with the injection, it is over. There are multiple locations on the cheeks that required the anesthesia. You can feel the pulling and tying of the threads, but it is just an odd feeling, not a painful one. After the procedure, you may feel slight tugging, or momentary ‘pin pricks’ as the threads fall into place.
The results are great! My jowls and lower cheeks have been tightened to a very natural look. When I smile there is very little, if any, puckering. Initially, as the skin healed, I had 1 or 2 small bumps where a tie may have been done. These eventually disappeared (and could also be removed if desired). All in all, I would recommend the procedure to patients that are not yet ready for a lower face lift.

This doesn't sound to me like a Silhouette Instalift. Threads being "pulled up and tacked to a foundation thread" is not anything I've ever heard of. Speaking from personal experience with the Silhouette Instalift and the other reviews of this procedure I've read on this site - I've never heard of this method.

Did you read other reviews of this procedure on this site before you had yours done?
