Moving toward a solution.

I waited to hear from the chiropractor for a week. He called on Friday after I went to see him and said the malpractice insurance people would contact me. I waited about 10 days and called him. He said they had tried me 3 times with no luck. Said he checked my number to make sure it was correct. But I'd received no missed calls or voice mail. So I asked for a contact to call myself. The following morning the chiropractor that caused the issue called me at 6am to give me that info. Ugh.

I did call and received a call in return. The insurance rep asked me to document the info and send what I can with a request for the amount I want to settle for.

I don't want to be outrageous but I'm trying to figure out what I should ask for. The surgery itself, with meds, is going to be more. About 2grand more because he has to navigate scar tissue, etc, and re stitch the left, also go into the right side and check for pulled and loosened stitches.

I'll miss two weeks again, then a couple weeks lighter duty. Meaning less money. It's a busy season and the money picks up quite a bit in November and December. Three more months of discomfort, ear pain, etc. and since it happened I have limited comfortable movement to my left. The muscle rests against my jaw bone and the scar and ear on that side ache off and on.

So add my current frustration and discomfort to the pain and recovery and I feel like screaming!!

I have to send info to Dr Kim someh can get me his analysis for the claim. Wish me luck ????

Just wondering if you've tried Serrapeptase for the scar tissue? Perhaps between that & essential oils it could help a bit? I don't know...

Also, I'm wondering about carboxytherapy (also called carbossitherapy) for the scar tissue.

It just occurred to me that it might help with any residual sagging skin issues as well.

I'm planning to have carboxy after surgery for the scarring.

Wishing you the best in finding some solutions! I really feel for you.

Heartbroken and totally stressed

need2Bhappy
I went in for another appointment with Dr Kim. The main reason is some hard tissue (displaced scar tissue - my thought) down the left side of my neck, it is itchy and I scratched it into a rash. It is apparent that the adjustment to my neck caused the stitches to the muscle behind my left ear to rip loose. The stitches in front of my ear are also damaged as seen by the looser skin on that side of my face. The stitches on the right side of my face are also suspect and the only way to ensure that it is repaired correctly is to go in and check every stitch that was placed originally.

The best time is at 3 months according to Dr Kim. I'm waiting for the Chiropracter to get back to me. Then I hope to get the ball rolling and get past this. ????

Chiropracter...

need2Bhappy
After the mishap I felt a diff in the side of my neck and I see a diff in my cheek. More vertical lines. I got in to Dr Kim's and he said we have to wait for the swelling to go down on both sides and recheck at the three month appt. he really is awesome about seeing you immediately if you have concerns.

I waited a week to settle down and analyze and finally made an appt to consult with my Chiropracter and fill him in. He was super receptive and apologetic (do love that guy) and said that they have insurance to cover issues that come up and they'd do whatever they could to help.

I'm relieved because I don't want to have a wedge put in our relationship. He's an amazing dr that works on me when I'm injured. That's hard to find.

I don't know what will have to happen, but I feel better knowing my butt is covered.
