Not worth it! My cellulite is still very visible and now I have deep scars from where the blade went into my skin. Although I’ve used Silagen like the MD suggested the scars are still red and don’t seem to be fading.
Some Improvement!
My bruises are fading finally, at just over 3 weeks. I can tell there aren’t as many dimples but I still have a lot of tender lumps where the bruising was more severe. I am still using Arnica cream plus Silagen gel over the areas where the blade was used (to reduce scarring).
Cellfina is Painful!!
I’ve had cellulite for the past few years but it had gotten really bad on my butt and backs of my thighs, despite being in fairly decent shape. I researched different procedures and found Cellfina to be the best choice. Dr. Lyos has great reviews online and he seems to have a lot of experience with the procedure.
The numbing part consists of a vacuum that draws in your skin and a needle with fluid and anesthetic is inserted and puffs you full of fluid. He then goes in with the blade and cuts the bands that make cellulite look lumpy.
I will say there were a lot of times my pain level hit an 8/10 and I’m not overly sensitive to pain. I opted for nitrous oxide rather than oral swsation and I was able to drive myself home. Perhaps oral medication would have been better? Not sure.
The next 24 hours I leaked a lot of bloody fluid and bruised considerably. Literally I look like I’ve been beaten. I’ve been taking Arnica and now I’m paying attention to getting lots of protein and eating fruits and vegetables for healing.
I can’t say for certain if the procedure has been a success because I’m so bruised. I’ll post updates in another couple weeks. As I sit and write this, I would rate my pain 4–5/10. I will say that Dr. Lyos and his staff are wonderful and make the process a lot less scary.
