My Cellfina Journey

11 Weeks Post

$5,500
So today I am 11 weeks and 3 days post procedure. At this point I am losing confidence that Cellfina was a good investment. I see improvement in the true “cottage cheese” cellulite that I had on the back of my thighs but I would NOT recommend Cellfina to the front of the thighs. Most of the lumps that the procedure caused have dissolved, however, on the front of my thighs there is a depression with nearly every needle scar that creates its own cellulite appearance. I also have discoloring. My Dr told me that it can take up to 9 months to heal and show improvement but as of today the front of my thighs look way worse than before the procedure. I will update again if I see an improvement but as of today my legs appear worse on the front than before I began :( I am posting inside and outside photos because the indoor lighting is extremely misleading. The outdoor lighting is what I see in my bathroom mirror and outside in public. It should be noted I have lost 5 lbs so no weight gain and I work out around my schedule 3 days a week. Good luck to anyone that is going through the same post procedure on their thighs that I am. I think maybe Cellfina is better suited for Butt and back of thighs.

Do you have any pre procedure pictures?
I had them on my old phone and there was a problem getting them to load. My next update I will try and do a side by side before/after
I am a Physician who had this treatment. I have to say my journey has almost mirrored your. I am being given 3 Venus legacy treatments as a courtesy. I think if you have <10 dimples to be treated then it is okay but more I would not recommend. I feel the shape of my buttocks has changed and the same cellulite is back. I have learned my lesson, no further cosmetic procedures for me. I will be happy with the body I have.
I totally agree @iheartmovies08 -I would not do this again. I’ve also just started noticing that it seems cutting the bands in the front of my thighs has created its own cellulite appearance in the shape of dips and valleys for lack of a better term. My Dr said it takes time to get better. I had 3 Venus (2 without suction and 1 with) as a courtesy. It definitely helped the lumps but the front of my legs are worse than before I started so I’m not even wearing shorts this summer. It’s really disheartening because even with consistent squats and working out my legs it’s not correcting the damage. I’m starting to get scared that it’s irreparable. I guess time will tell.
I ran across a couple stories where it looks works until they hit around the year mark and then consider it worth it. They regretted it as well until the year mark. But they also started working out so who knows exactly what it was.
I’m hoping it will be worth it but right now I can’t say that it is. Im pretty active and I can say that the front of my legs are worse than before I began. Still hoping it will be worth it in the end but I will post any changes :)
Negative. I have this done to the back of my thighs and butt it had the exact same experience as you. I would not recommend cellfina for diffuse cellulite maybe for localized one or two areas. I'm trying to remain positive that a year post-op I will be okay but I'm wishing I had my old legs back
I follow the cellfina stories because I was considering getting this just on my butt but the front of my thighs showed some cellulite as well. I also workout and run (training for my 3rd marathon now). On the advice of my sister who is heavier than I am (she doesn't workout-just walks), I started to dry brush every morning before I shower. She does it and uses the fasciablaster and her cellulite is virtually nonexistent. We went to the beach together and I couldn't believe it! I started dry brushing about a week ago and using the cupping method interspersed with the fasciablaster (not too hard) and I have noticed my cellulite disappearing as well! I am also eating better--less sugar--added a booty blaster workout from fitnessblender (works your legs too) and added collagen protein to my coffee every morning (some people say that helps with cellulite as collagen helps promote healthy skin among other things). Just thought I'd share in case anyone wants to try this before cellfina for their thighs.
I used a fasciablaster along with 6 treatments of thermi smooth the year prior to cellfina and had zero results on my legs. Thermi smooth worked great on my abdomen but after trying both treatments on my legs with no results is when I decided to go more invasive with cellfina. I’m waiting the year before I say definitively not worth it but as of today the front of my legs are worse than before I started. The lumps and indentions on my thighs create their own cellulite appearance unfortunately .
Thank you very much I appreciate ….can you please let me know what collagen protein are you using and ...the "cupping method" are you going to a professional to get it done ?

8 Weeks Post

Today marks 8 weeks post cellfina. I still have a few lumps, however, most of them are significantly smaller. I have had 3 Venus Legacy treatments to help with the lumps and one Skin Tight treatment which I would highly recommend. I would say to anyone going into this procedure that this is not a simple and quick process. My Dr assures me to trust the process and I am trusting my Dr. I will continue to post picture updates as I see improvement. I just haven’t had the improvement yet that I had hoped for .

I agree with you that it is not a simple and quick process. I still have lumps and scars, but they seem to improve slowly. I’m still hoping for the best that it gets better with time. Best of luck with healing!
what is the skin tightening treatment you recommend?

Day 14

Yesterday was day 14 for me. Finally reached the 2 week mark and could stop wearing the compression garment. Bruising is significantly better but the lumps are starting to scare me a little. A couple of them are the size of tennis balls! I can feel several 1-2 inch lumps and bumps deep under the skin but a few are very obvious and actually appear worse than the cellulite. On the back of my left thigh just under my butt there is a linear bulge that goes all the way across and into my inner thigh. I’m still using the Arnica cream and now gently massaging. I see my Dr next week and am hoping these lumps start to dissolve. I tried to take some photos from the side that show the lumps under my thighs. Only other update I have is that the needle marks seem to be healing well. There are only a few that seem to be a bit bigger than the others and still quite red. Still hoping for the best.

best of luck to you!!!
keep posting pix please
Why was this your last post? Did you not like the results?
I am still undecided. At this point (5 weeks) the results are not yet what I was hoping for. Have several indentions and lumps that have not yet smoothed out. The healing process has been much slower than I expected. I’ll post an update w/photos this evening after work.
How are you doing? I am 2 years post Celffina and my butt is still very, very lumpy with 2 years of my MD trying to graciously help fix it. I hope your lumps are improving. Mine only got worse:(
At this point parts of my legs appear better in regards to the cellulite, however, in some areas are much worse due to the lumps and scars left by the needle holes. I’m hopeful the scars will fade with time but I can’t honestly say at this point that I’m happy with the results. I have been working out of town but will post some updated photos as soon as I can.
