WORTH IT
9 weeks post op. Love my results. They have dipped into position, and gained a lil fullness. No complaints. I do feel sore where my under boob incisions are and the ends of my incisions under my arms but only in the morning after sleeping on my side and stomach. When my underboob incisions are dry they feel tight and tend to itch so I keep them moisturized with vitamin E oil for elasticity and to improve the scar appearance. Did I buy this top? Yes? Lol. Will I wear it out? Yes, I already did, under a cute fitted blazer to a sexy night event. Anyway. M looking to invest in a product that will greatly improve my scar appearance. The scars on my breasts are barley visible, it’s the side and underboob scars that look like I’m gonna have to put some work in, along with time. I know it takes time. I’m not gonna post again until my next follow up in August. So glad I moved forward with doing this, and I’m glad I researched the way I did, and so glad I chose a good surgeon, and I thank God for being there for me throughout this process. I am happy. I haven’t had any back neck or shoulder pain at all. So thankful that my insurance covered it.

Thank you so much. I think I’m going to end up comfortably in a DD. I’ve tried some unlined wireless bras, and they’ve been DD’s. I’ve tied to try some D cups, but they were lifting me and started to hurt as I tried them on, so I never really got to see how they really fit. I’d like to fit into a D but if not the DD is fine. My goal is to be wire free anyway. :)

I wish I could find some good wire free bras. I’ll just keeping looking I guess. But now that I’m approaching my 1 yr and I have d&f and feel pretty comfortable with my size, I think I’m safe to look for a few good ones. I just can’t get over how beautiful your transformation is!!!! I’m so excited for you!! ❤️❤️

Lol lol. I like reviews because they’re honest opinions, so I wanted my review to be honest and real as far as my experience. Glad I was able to entertain you through reading it. At the time I was probably serious, but I too laughed when I read through some of my frustration points. Thank you for your complement. This was a big transition. Now I’m chilling as if I never had those big ole flappers. My journey now, is the scar treatment. I will keep everyone posted.

Aww thank you. I preyed soo hard and asked god to be my surgeon. If you believe in god just put your faith in him. Ask believe and receive. Good luck with your mommy make over. I’m looking into lippo suction. I want my love handles GONE, my bat wings under my upper arms GONE, and some stomach fat GONE. I’m it gonna lie, this surgery was very tolerable for me, recovery is more of taking care of yourself more tan managing pain, so y’all be fine. Child, my Ex has been so jealous, at first he kept calling me lil boy cause he felt that they were too small, but now I catch I’m staring, so I asked him if they still looked too small and he said “ nah I’m tryna suck on em lol lol lol.

Procedure took place on May 4th. I am now in my 9th week post op. My scars healed well with no complications, but I’m not sure if they are continuing to heal well. My scars around my nipple, and the vertical scar from my nipple to the under boods are damn near barley visable, I have absolutely no complaints, especially because I’m only 9 weeks, so he more treatment and time they will eventually disappear. I don’t know bout those other scars though. They look like they stretched. My boobs ave gotten a tiny bit bigger and have also dropped some. I’ve got no issues with that, he lil hang time and fullness makes them look very natural and I love it, but I believe the drop and growth caused the scars to stretch and raise a little. Anyone else have this issue? What are you using? I started using a lemon toning/cleansing soap to lighten them in color, and I started using straight vitamin oil that I purchased out of Walmart in the vitamin section. I came across it because my surgeons nurse recommended I use the vitamin oil straight from vitamin E capsules, but when I saw the oil in the bottle I figured less mess and work. I just stated using this about a week now. Prior to that I was using Neosporin at night and one application of Mederma during the day per the instructions(See pictures). I have to put some sort of oil, or greasy substance on my Under bood and side scars daily or they will feel tight and itchy. I really want to invest in whatever will fade these scars away. I know it takes time but, I also don’t want to waste time treating them with something not affective while in the early stages. Any suggestions??

Looks like you’re healing well and your scars are already super-light!! My surgeon told me ScarAway silicone tape works well. I’ve been using them for about 3 weeks now and my scars look much lighter already.

Keep greasing! It works, my Nana told me that... and she never lied about skin care. If you are itching during the day try carry the cocoa butter stick. It is concealable, less greasy so it would mess up your clothing and very reliable in good skin healing.

Yes, greasing, and greasing.LOL. Definitely going to buy a cocoa butter stick with vitamin E. Something I can carry that won’t leak in my bag, or stain my shirts.

You look like you have a tan complexion like myself, I’m mixed w/Filipino. So my scars tend to heal a bit darker. Also, your right about in the healing time where are scars go thru the “angry phase” and they my appear darker/redder than normal. I personally use Bio-oil (a lil goes a long way) & cocoa butter w/vitamin E which is what my PS recommended. Be patient your scars will heal and look good in time. I tried the silicone sheets but couldn’t stand them sticking to me under my bra on really hot days. You could also look into Biocorneum or Silagen which your PS office would sell those. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Getting ready to go to my 2nd post op appointment

User Avatar

Hey guys, providing an update. I’m getting ready for my 2week post op visit. My surgeons office is closed on Fridays so my appointment was scheduled today (13 days post op) instead of 14. Anyway, I shower daily now. I’m still very cautious because again my nipple sensitivity is on 10, so I’m scared to let the water hit my boobs directly. I bath my entire upper body with antibacterial soap, and just let the water hit my back and solders so it will Run down my chest and rinse off the soap. I make sure I pat my incisions. Dry when I get out and apply Neosporin. I’ve read some reviews on here that people are using Aquaphor instead because their PS frowns upon the use of Neosporin unless infection is present, but my PS’s RN told me to use NEOsporin all this week at my last visit, so I’ll ask about the Aquaphor today. I’m also going to ask my size, what to do about the one bood that looks more square at the bottom, recommendations on scar therapy, and what I can do to turn the nipple sensitivity down a notch. I also want to know why 100 plus grams extra were removed from each breast. My insurance required 800 but when I read my operative report 930 was removed from one and over 950 from the other. I think that’s a lot over the requirement. Gotta go.

So how did your second post-op visit go?
User Avatar

Hi. Sorry for the late response. I missed the notification. It went well. I asked about the Aquaphor and she recommended the Neosporin based on its infection fighting. She compared the Aquaphor to just being lotion. I didn’t see the surgeon I had to see the nurse again. Honestly I was a little grumpy because I waited over an hour to be seen, and this was the 2nd time happening to me. My next appointment is in August. The Nurse said I’m healing fine. She said for me to buy vitamin e capsules that you take orally, open them up and use the oil inside for scaring treatment. I have a trip planned to the water park next week. I asked about going in the water, and she advised me not to go more than waist deep because the water can get into tiny areas of my inscisions and get infected. That was about it. The questions I had outside of what I mentioned I would rather ask the surgeon, so I’m going to request that I see her on my next visit.

You're right... you have to choose your adventure. Because rest is #1 -- one day you feel like Wonder Woman and the next you will have no energy at all. For me I am on the 2-day on and 1-day off so I can enjoy the holiday weekend to the MAX!

It sounds like you have not infection and you aftercare is going well. I would agree, with you PS. Darker skin requires treatment rich in emollients and low in chemicals. Not to mention the first or second ingredient must not be water or any sort.

Based on your post, I highly recommend you stay away from you ex (unless he is paying for this procedure and aftercare) and half assed people.LOL . Just focus on your recovery and well being.

Have a great weekend and keep us posted!

Aquaphor is 41% Vaseline. Neosporin is better option :-)

I haven’t gotten measured yet, but I tried on a DD bra bra and it fit with a tad bit of room, so I wanna day I can wear a D, but not 100% sure. I’ve purchased one no wire u lined bra from Victoria secret so far and it’s a 38 DD. I like the fit because it’s not too tight and it’s not lifting my breasts which I didn’t want because of my incisions, but if I wanted a more snug feel and a perkier look I could size down to a D. I believe a D Will be my final size.

Your results look good...that wound vac was a great idea...wish I had had it, maybe I would not have gotten open incisions. You are a hero going through this with little ones to look after!
