2 years later...

I absolutely love my veneers still! One of them did pop off about 2 months ago while I was flossing. Luckily, I was able to catch it and put in in a ziplock bag until I got back to the dentist and they glued it back on. They doubt the dental floss was the primary culprit; it was probably some tough food that I ate. The good news is that it came off in one piece. They say that will happen from time to time - roughly every 7 years or so. With me, it's happened 3 times since I've had my veneers, but I also have no back teeth so I have to primarily chew on my front and sides. This is probably the real reason why mine come detached more frequently than most.

My Resemblance to Gollum is uncanny.

For anyone wondering how your real teeth will look after they're shaped for veneers, take a look at this. lol Now, take a look at the picture in my update post above and see that I'm right.

Finally got my Permanent Veneers

Today's veneer fitting and bonding was a little hellish to endure. They had to give me 3 numbing shots to subdue my very sensitive real teeth from the poking and prodding. Then it felt like they took a weed-wacker to my gums as they scraped at them. I was at my appointment for approx 3 hours as they fitted, chiseled and refitted, until they were finally satisfied and I was too war-stricken to care.
I do love the finished result - aside from my left incisor being slightly lower than my right - but they'll tweek that at my biting appointment tomorrow.
The only thing that worries me now is the weird sensation of movement I'm feeling in them when I bite down. I seems like I can also use my tongue to push them back and forth, and I can both feel and hear a clicking as I do. God, I hope they don't have to remove them and glue them on again! That's my worst fear right now.

Dr. Fraiz was very friendly and knowledgeable. He and the staff took extra special care of me and made me feel at ease while I was there. I'm excited to see how the final version of my teeth will look.
