I had my consultation in January. Scheduled my surgery in February. I am a little over a week away from surgery and am starting to get very nervous. I'm 5'5 and currently about 173. I was hoping to be about 10 pounds lighter but I have been struggling with having my thyroid out a year ago. I go to the gym three (3) times per week to lift with a trainer and try to do cardio five times per week. Usually the elliptical or running.

My surgery will include having abdominoplasty extended, mastoplexy bilateral, and sub pectoral augmentation mammoplasty with saline implants. I have a small hernia and diastasis recti that will be fixed the day of surgery as well. I believe my implant will be 400cc. All drainless.

I'm currently a D and am wanting volume and a lift. If I lay down my chest almost goes flat with much of my breast spread flat or in my arm pit. I also have problems filling the top part of my bras since my breasts have fallen. My only real concern with the implant and lift is that I do not want to be larger than a D. I do not want to struggle to fit into clothes (shirts and bras). A large C or D is plenty for me and my frame.

I am very nervous about the tummy tuck and abdominal repair. The unknown is the worst. The pain. The scar. The end result. My tummy tuck is considered extended because it will be my abdomen and flanks. The scar will wrap around my hips.

At this point, I'm trying to steel myself for my upcoming procedure. I've read a lot of reviews on here and have friends that have had one or both of these procedures. All say it hurts like hell. I'm optimistic and hoping all goes well and I can recover fairly quickly. I'm pretty active with family and my life. Really hoping it doesn't take month to get back to exercising and having an active life back.

I'll try to post pre-op pictures before surgery day.

Hi, I'm very happy for you! What was the deciding factor of your incision for tummy tuck going all the way around? Im gonna have tt this fall & feel i might need that too. Any input would be helpful.

During my consultation it was advised that I do an extended tuck due to the apron or roll that I had. If you look at my before picture, my stomach kind of rolled over. The skin fell over. A normal tummy tuck is hip to hip. However, my skin still had a roll to it beyond that. If I did normal tummy tuck there would have been an issue with the skin meeting at the hip and the extra skin on my flanks. It would have created a "dog ear" No way did I want that. Who would, right? So I decided to do the extended tummy tuck.
