After years of consideration and months of searching for the right surgeon, I finally decided to take the plunge! I am more than excited, and the staff at my plastic surgeons office has been above and beyond amazing! I am a mere 3 days away from surgery and couldn't be more excited! My biggest wonder is what to expect after surgery. I know everyone is a bit different, but What was everyones recovery like? Is there anything i can do to help assist with discomfort? I am also driving (well my fiancé is anyway) 2 hours to have my surgery. Does anyone have any suggestions for comfort during the car ride home?

Good luck on your surgery! It is the best section I've made! All I recommend is take your pain pills and stay on top of them for the first few days. Ice helps a lot too with swelling and pain. The first couple of days are the hardest but not unbearable. I had a low grade fever for the first 4 days but after it subsided I felt back to my normal self. At the one week mark I didn't need anything for pain anymore. Can't wait to see your results!

I had my breast augmentation a week ago tomorrow! You will not remember the car ride after you come out of surgery and are in recovery they give you pain pills and muscle relaxer prior to departing the surgery center. Did they tell you to bring all your pre filled prescriptions with you? Really the first two days are not bad you will
sleep a lot. My surgeon did not recommend ice I never used it. I took Celebrex an anti inflammatory Flexerall a muscle relaxer and a narcotic pain medication for first two days only since then I have taken nothing. My breasts never really hurt just my sternum and my upper back.

Thank you!!! I also don't remember much after the surgery. I brought a pillow for the car ride home and slept most of the way, and most of the day/night after getting home. My back and sternum are sore too, and I am starting to be able to feel the incisionsame a bit. So far I am happy with them though! I can't remember all the measurements, but I do know I was a 13.0 BW. My surgeon and I decided on the Mentor brand moderate plus profile, 375cc, submammary incision

What are your measurements and how big of implants are you using?

I had my BA 1/12/17, it is only uncomftablewhen I go to bed. I think it is the position. I am having my first PO tomorrow, I hope ps tells me I am doing well. I only took the Percocet at bedtime otherwise Motrin. I agree I slept the first day most of the day. Barely remember anything. I had 240cc u NZ. I hope they get smaller. They seem big to me but that's because I haven't told anyone. I'm back to work in a week. Good luck!! What size are you going with. ?

Good luck at your PO! Mine is scheduled for the second week in Feb. I slept pretty much all day yesterday too. I have better movement in my arms today though so that's nice. They're just very high and tight right now. I was a 34b prior to surgery, and I'm not sure yet what my Post Op size is, but I am wearing LG sports bras. I went with Mentor brand 375cc moderate plus profile unders, and the incision was made inframammary.

How was the 2 hour drive home?? We also will have a long drive.. hoping I can just relax enough to sleep.

The drive wasn't bad. I brought a fluffy pillow to hold onto and that really helped. I wasn't in much pain right after, we even stopped and got a light lunch. I was still a bit wobbly, and very tired, from the anesthesia, so we ate in the car. I slept off and on the whole way home :)

Having better arm movement today. I am very sore, but it's not to painful. It feels like a bad pulled muscle, and pressure. Breasts are very high and tight, but so far I am happy with the results! Sorry about the bad lighting in the before and after pics, my phone cam was doing funny things with the coloring and shadows.

Congrats! Hope your doing well! I was 1 day post op a week ago today. Take it easy rest a lot and the week will fly by. I had my one week post op today! Got my gauze and tape removed from my incision. I see your taking photos with a swim top I have to wear a compression bra pretty much 24/7 to keep the pocket perfect. Are you wearing a compression bra?

Doing well just sore. I wear a compression 24-7 also, I just put on the swim top because that was the same one I had on in my "before" pic. It doesn't have any padding or underwire, and I took it off right after the pic

Also make sure you take your laxitive or stool softner asap. Also eat prunes and tons of fiber just saying your stomach gets backed up and slowed down and the more you can get ahead of it the better off you will be....

Thursday was my 2 week post op visit. I still habe a bit of twnderness in several spots, but a couple ibuprofen takes care of it. Dr. Fatas patient coordinator, Donnete (who is amazing btw) remobed my stitches and showed me how to massage to soften and manipulate the implants. They are looking much more normal now, and WAY less hard feeling/looking. This upcoming thursday I can temobe the tape over the scar. Progress!
