My Lower Blepharoplasty Journey
I decided to share my experience of communicating with Dr. Marco Carmona and his staff. I hatched an idea of lower blepharoplasty for long time, made a search, wrote to various medical offices in America and Europe and finally settled with this doctor.The price was right, the reviews were good and I love Cancun...That was my first procedure of this kind and it was exactly one year ago, so results can already be said to be finite.Everything was organized well- they met me in airport, arranged for the hotel and then I met for the consultation with the doctor.The next day I was taken from the hotel, the blood test was done in the central hospital and then we arrived to the hospital where procedure was to be held.Hospital was "so-so", the sanitary condition could be better, but i made my decision already and tried do not pay attention to it, having written this off to the local mentality. Meanwhile organization started to be not so good... Nobody explain anything- first we were waiting for the doctor, then anesthesiologist... all together about 4 hours. Well, it's trivia...Anesthesiologist came, made me general anesthesia (do not know why, maybe because i was very nervous with all this waiting), and i woke up in time without bugs under my eyes and... without diamond studs in my ears. Not million bucks, but very nice and a gift from my best friend. Doctor gone already, staff fussed around with no results. I was invited to the office of the head of the hospital where nobody offered me to sit so i stood propping the wall like a guilty schoolgirl. And please mention i was after anesthesia and wanted just go to the bed and so no one disturbed me.I do not speak Spanish, the head of the hospital does not speak English... sad story... Very next day I called Danny to explain the situation...I was in foreign country alone and did not know what to do...I did not even know name and location of the hospital... Make long story short- nobody helped me, Dr Carmona did not call me with any apology until i called Danny and said it is inappropriate. Nobody visited me in the hotel to check my condition after surgery neither...Results? Not good not bad- instead of 2 (not so big bugs) I have several small ones under each eye. Worth it? I do not think so.

I guess People who dont have much experiance of Plastic Surgery, think that they will be geteting a lot of attantion. Thats not the case. My doctor in Europe after my first surgery never contact me back. I needed to contact him every time. Her in Cancun with Dr. Carmona I am contacting him via Danny. If I have questions I contact her. And If I need answer fast I will call to office. Example, after my upper eyelid surgery, after 3 days my eyes were hurting, so I contact Danny and askde if I can use some eye drops. And I went to buy some lubricant eye drops, which I still use. You can not expect PS telling you each small thing. And I have papper from Dany with all aftercare rules, what I should and should not do.
I also had breasts lift with implants in the same day with dr carmona, and he was not planning to see me after surgery, and I did not felt like he would need to. Only reason he came in the evening to visit me, because of my eyes. They were bandage alld ay after surgery, so he came to take them of.
What I am saying...If you have concern, you ask for extra appointment. Even If I would not have concern I still will make appointment to see my PS.
I had very good experiance in clinic where I had my surgery. Only bad experiance was in morning before my surgery, when I met first nurse who was terrible to put needle in my arms.
